Moonbeans coffee is an absolute gem in the world of coffee shops. As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a warm, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

The decor is modern yet comfortable, with plenty of seating options to choose from. You can sit at a table and work on your laptop, cozy up on a in the outside patio with a good book, or chat with friends over a cup of coffee. The natural lighting and soothing music create a serene ambiance that makes it the perfect place to unwind.

Now, let's talk about the coffee. Moonbeans offers an impressive selection of coffee drinks, from classic lattes and cappuccinos to creative seasonal blends. Their baristas are skilled at their craft and are always happy to customize your drink to your liking. Not to mention, the coffee is always freshly roasted and brewed to perfection.

But what sets Moonbeans apart from other coffee shops is the warm and welcoming environment. From the friendly staff to the cozy seating areas, you'll feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to work or a spot to catch up with friends, Moonbeans coffee has got you covered.

Firstly, I absolutely miss the old moonbeans location. This new site has so much potential, but is GOING TO WASTE!!! Unfortunately, outdoor area is in need of some TLC and usually dirty. Bathrooms are typically out of order. The coffee is mediocre at best, but offers a wide range of items on their menu. There are often times where the place stinks like burned coffee beans that literally brings tears to my eyes. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, please fix the furniture. I refrain from giving 1 star simply because this establishment is extremely supportive of local artists and has kind baristas.

Nice quaint little coffee shop. They roast and brew their own coffees. They have pastries, sandwiches, sell several varieties of house roasted coffees and a small outdoor area as well.

Love their location. Love their coffee. My all time favorite ice coffee is the Oreo Orbit. Depending on the day.. depends on the size. 😂 Today took my girls my Lil diva tried the ice grande big dipper n she loved it. It has a vanilla taste to it. N then my Lil monkey loves her Oreo Orbit just like me but with extra chocolate swirl. We sat outside and enjoyed the peace n quiet. The cool breeze their laughter. It was worth the trip to my all time favorite coffee shop. No other coffee shop can compare.

First experience was my last experience. Tried to order a couple of items most of the items they didn’t have. Just the moonmud, I’m allergic to diary and told the barista and it wasn’t much help. She just kept suggesting the moonmud which already was pre made with diary. Wasn’t helpful enough to tell me what they did have in stock. I wouldn’t go back it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

I love MoonBeans, they stick with their personality/ decor/ vibe no matter the location and that's something to be proud of, I love how they are managing the new space and the social media. They have oat milk available so I can order my favorite drinks without regrets because of this new addition to their menu ❤️ moonmud still delicious as always for what I heard from my friend, she got that to get out of her comfort zone, thumbs up and happy 20 years!

Moonbeans Coffee is a local urban coffeeshop located in McAllen Texas on 10th and Dove. It provides a place for the millennial and gen-z audience to work, study, meetup, and chat - candidly and comfortably. The vibe is relaxed and reminds one of a time that was simpler and easier. It either transports you to a time that you once experienced in bliss or transports you to a place you didn’t know you were missing.

The coffee is at a premium price. I got a single shot iced black coffee, which makes it easier for me to drink knowing it won’t keep me up since it was past 6pm already. It is a lighter roast that had a softer note compared to the bitterness of some strands. My partner and I coupled that with a banana-nut muffin that kept us satisfied for the evening. The barista gave us the option to have the muffin heated up, which we eagerly accepted.

The first thing you’ll probably notice hearing is the indie garage rock in the background, which sometimes alternates with jazz. You’ll hear artists such as MGMT, the Strokes, and Richard Swift. A recent favorite of mine played was “Song for My Father” by Horace Silver, which was very pleasant for me to hear in the shop. Inside, the acoustics of the high ceiling, which would normally create a jarring, cold sound is masked with the warm music. If you focus, you can hear the buzzing of the kitchen equipment, the murmuring of voices, and the laughter of friends. Outside, the mood is a lot more intimate. The quieter music coupled with more voices outside invites individuals to lean in and talk quieter.

The interior is dark black with hints of wood and red couches. This creates an underground, grunge feeling of a dive bar but with the ambient light of a studying area. If you made it dimmer and served alcohol instead of coffee, I’d believe you if it was like the bars I’ve been to in Austin. Outside, the string lights are a very nice touch, creating a beer garden vibe. It’s homey. It’s hip. It’s sweet.

The couches are a bit stiff, making it easy to focus and not get too comfortable to lull myself to sleep. The makeshift wood tables are littered with marks, drawings, and messages from many. I see chemistry elements, inspiration messages, gospel, romantic hearts, and silly memes. The air is nice and fresh, which makes it easy to stay for long periods of times. Masks are enforced.

You can smell the coffee in the air. It is magnificent. This is the coffeeshop of the valley right now for the millennial and gen-z audience.
