This is one of the best places to go for coffee, and it's a local business! If you're planning to stay, ask for your drink in a mug. My favorite beverage is a hot vanilla latte, but they boast a fairly diverse menu with coffees and teas. If you are visiting during the evening of the school year, prepare for the place to be pretty packed. The interior has a nice design and features lots of windows, so it feels open and comfortable. The furniture is aging and isn't the best for long term hangouts, but that's not to say people don't do it!

This is a great coffee shop with a good atmosphere. They have a couple of faux leather chairs and a couch, some booths, a middle island and some separate tables. There’s also Ana tea in the back that has no music and is easier to study etc.

J&B is a Lubbock mainstay---and for good reason. The drinks are good, and the food they have (pastries and hot food) is great. Expect Starbucks-like pricing and a very college atmosphere. The hours are the best in town, but during peak study times, it's going to be a long wait, and you might not find seating.

J & B is a great coffee house. Great employees, great atmosphere and GREAT coffee. Unlike their competitor from Seattle, they don't cut corners. They take the time to make sure each cup of coffee is a great cup of coffee. Lots of seating and a pleasant environment. With a wide variety of customers. Business people, retired individuals and Texas Tech students. I have met clients there multiple times for meetings. If you want a great cup of coffee in Lubbock, this is your place.

It has been a long time since I give a bad review. It took them 35+ minutes to prepare my order on a not so busy Saturday morning.
Customer service needs to be improve specially for those that are not familiar with types of products and drinks. Not very friendly staff from what I saw... Was going to give them one star, but I do know that their products are great and I did enjoy what I got to go... 3 stars is a generous rating based on this visit.

I love this place!
There are few places in Lubbock i'm willing to chill at for long periods of time, this is one.
The artists and thinkers gather here too, making me feel very at home.
I used to only have the shabby shake, but have now tried much of the menu.
Its an awesome place, go check it out.

Great vibe, awesome staff, killer coffee. Try the shakes!

Nice airy space with friendly & attentive staff. By the way, their coffee is excellent as well. Glad to see they’re open after all the COVID stuff, but we are still adhering to the social distancing guidelines.

2/3 times I have gone my order hasn't been correct even though I order the same kind of frappe. Drip coffee is good and well brewed. Unsure if there is a system in place for reminding workers of what was ordered but I think the details get muddled or lost in translation from register to barista. UPDATED: Went back and it was fixed after much discussion.

Excellent coffee, balanced ...well done. Much better than major superchains!
