Great place for homestyle food. The hamburger was really good and the chicken strips with gravy are yummy. The antique store next door adds some fun browsing for your visit. Will definitely go there again. The waitresses are friendly and keep coming back to check on their customers.

Fast and friendly service, great prices, and absolutely fantastic menu. The Reuben sandwich is an experience unto itself, just visit, you'll be glad ya did!

Perhaps I am spoiled, and expect more. This place was recommended to us as a "great place for sandwiches". We arrived early for lunch, (about 11:am), and there was only one other table seated with customers. Service was slow to approach our table - at least 10 minutes - so that gave us plenty of time to look at the menu 😉. My sandwich was just "okay." The peach cobbler I ordered for dessert was horrible! I sent it back except for the single taste that I had.

The food is great. Been coming here for years. Love the staff but I was told the owner refused to serve someone just because they visit someone in prison. Sadly I will not be returning. One of my favorite stops and have spent a lot of money here through the years along with my friends. Won't be doing that anymore.

The staff was very friendly but my how the quality of food has dropped since the last time I was there (Feb. 2020)
I ordered fried squash app., half sandwich and cup of soup, philly cheese steak.
The squash is frozen and was still cold after being fried. The croissant was also very cold, the cheese on the cheese steak wasnt melted.
I use to love the food and atmosphere here but unfortunately I wont be returning.
The staff did bring a new order of squash and remove it from the bill but even the second order wasnt good.

Food and atmosphere here have always been great. And it's nice to go look around the shop after too.

We were running late. It was close to closing. I called from the parking lot to see if we were too late. " Come on in". We were served politely. They did their side work without disturbing us. I have been to places that vacuumed under my feet and used noxious chemicals for cleaning in similar circumstances. NOT HERE!

The menu was hard to choose from. It has been over 50 years since I was in a decent (Southern) restaurant. Fried okra. Fried green tomatoes. Etoufee with crawdads.

The next time pot roast was the special with greens and Southern style green beans.

Service staff and owners super friendly.

Definite many returns.

Tried to eat lunch here today, but we sat there for 20 minutes and all we got was our drinks and a menu. No one ever came back to get our order. Granted, they were pretty busy and several tables were clearing out as we came in, but no one ever spoke to us again after bringing drinks. We had somewhere to be and we're afraid it would take too long so we got up and left. Food looked good, but I recommend coming in when you have no schedule to keep.

This is a classic old school Cafe. Great food and service. Can't wait to go back for more. Biscuits are insanely delicious.
