Lava Coffee

Whoop whoop! Katy is finally opening its doors to more local coffee shops. Move on from starbucks and support a local brewer. Lava will rotate through different beans which offers customers the opportunity to experience different flavors/tones.

I got the dirty coffee and an autumn spiced latte. The dirty coffee is a split of milk and espresso. A perfect introductory espresso drink for anyone who is a little worried about the strong bitter tones. Super smooth with a rich fruity undertone.

The autumn spiced latte is perfect for the everyday joe who wants a little sweetness in their life. I avoid lattes at starbucks as the syrup/sugar level overwhelms the coffee flavor. However, the spiced latte has the right balance of sweetness. Every spice pops up with every sip but the coffee beans are never lost.

There are power outlets for anyone who wants to work! Cute cafe vibes paired with great coffee is a win-win in my book. Try it out!

I’ve ordered the honey bear latte, a regular vanilla latte, a mocha frappe, and their bourbon latte. I’ve never been disappointed. Seriously, the entire menu is amazing🙌🏽 The atmosphere is also perfect for studying/reading! Love it!

Ive been coming here a long time but I love the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and willing to share recommendations with me . I like the bookshelves with the Manga and harry potter. I've donated some of my books as well . The drinks are delicious 😋 and I've brought some friends over to try out. They also liked the drinks....although I do wish they closed a little later. I have to rush right after work to catch this place . Or I can only come on weekends .

If you’re looking for a casual coffee place with a soft industrial vibe, this is it. Fantastic service, terrific latte and chai, and tasty bakery treats make this a good choice to meet friends or even study. Easy access to I-10 and 99 make this a convenient place to stop, as well. I just wish they were open later in the evening, at least on weekends.

Delicious coffee. Great variety of flavors. And the staff is always nice and helpful. Lava is my family's favorite coffee place. :)

Got an Autumn flavored coffee & green tea that tastes incredibly fresh! You can get hot and cold specialty coffees here. Love the atmosphere with plenty of seating and plugs

Always make sure I stop in when passing through Houston. One of the best local coffee shops in town, always friendly service, amazing desserts, and great coffee.
Definitely reccomend when in the Katy area!

This is definitely my favorite coffee shop in katy. Both the drinks and food options are yummy. I love coming here to study and work.

I wanted to try a new coffee shop in the area and Lava came up in a google search. The employees are nice and welcoming and overall the shop was clean and had plenty of space to get work done. I would come back to work but most likely will not get coffee here.

The coffee is overpriced and mediocre. I tried the toffee moon and it was over $6 for a 12oz and tasted like a Starbucks holiday drink. Definitely not worth it.

Lava is probably our favorite coffee place in the Katy area. Their flavorful iced latees are worth the small surcharge from a place like Starbucks, and the atmosphere is always very relaxed.
