Lava Coffee

I use to go to Lava Coffee often and it was amazing, the last time I went it was a very bad experience. First off the vibes are great! The cafe is one where you can relax, study, and just mingle with company. The food and the drinks were lacking this last time and I’m sad to say the service wasn’t great either. Both drinks we got (Matcha Latte and some other coffee latte) were grainy and lacking in taste, not only that but the croissant and sandwich we got were both over and under cooked. How is that possible? When asked if we could get something fresher the cashier told us no and did nothing to try and accommodate us she just looked at us like a deer in headlights. I hope we just went on a bad day but it was a very disappointing experience. I give Lava Coffee 4 stars for what I knew it to be and not for what I know it to be now.

Love this cute shop, drinks are great! Cute concepts and seasonal flavors. Only complaint, is when working in store, the staff is like a little girls club. Often times, they are louder than guests, laughing and gossiping. It's very distracting when doing quiet work.

Relaxed lighting, comfortable seating, and jazzy music make this a great quiet place to read a book. Their munchies are all quite tasty. Their lattes are ok, they're just not that flavorful, unlike their yuzu lemonade which is intense! Fantastic service too. Easily one of my favorite places to relax with a snack.

First time coming here and was pleasantly surprised. Staff is friendly and the space is warm and comfortable. Definitely a good place to come and study or get work done. We’ve tried their Honey Bear Latte and Domino Mocha and both were delicious. Definitely will be back!

Awesome place to eat, drink, and study! It’s so cozy and the baristas are great! Every drink I’ve tried has been good every single time. I have yet to try the pastries they offer but they all look so delicious. Overall a nice environment if you want to study or read ☺️

Great coffee in a very chill atmosphere. I love all the creative decorations on the cups that customers have created. Try the toffee moon latte, it’s class

The sweet iced latte tasted like something I make at home with Nespresso pods, ie nothing special and definitely not worth the money. Also was very annoyed that they didn't have high chairs even though they serve food. I picked the place specifically so my toddler could get something off the menu. The staff was not very helpful when asking about the menu. Overall a very Meh 😕 experience. So many other places to try in Katy Asian town, will not be returning here.
