R & K Cafe

A pretty great place. The staff are friendly, the food is great, it's just all-around pretty good. Also, there's a bunch of business cards out in the entrance area from local businesses. That's how I found the guys that did my fence a little while ago, Jasso welding and custom fencing. They did a pretty good job with the fence. There are some high-quality small/family businesses you can find.

The RK restaurant has an amazing array of all the favorite foods most Texans grew up eating. Fantastic chicken fried steaks and fried okra and mashed potatoes. Mexican food that compares to all the best Tex Mex restaurants. Great hamburgers. The biggest onion rings anywhere. Great breakfast menu. Good iced tea. Fine and friendly service. I try to eat here once a week.

A friend recommended this a few months ago. The food came out faster than any restaurant I've been to in my life. The chicken fried steak was great. Vegetables and salad were good & fresh. Country cooking at it's best. And super low prices!!! You'll leave with left overs too. I will definitely be going back.

As new to the area we stopped in to give R & K a try. Looking for a diner with some really good food at a reasonable price. This would be a great choice. The family and I were pleasantly surprised to enjoy all items ordered from burgers to chicken fried steak.

This is not a fast food joint. So expect to sit down and have a nice chat and relax a bit. Wait staff were very nice. Not the fastest place to grab a bite but if you want McDonald's got to MCDs. Older building which was clean but showing it's age. During a nice conversation with our waitress we were told new location is on its way just down the road.

Our new go to for breakfast or a comfort meal. 👍

Down home cafe, great comfort food that reminds you of home. From delicious Pot Roast with all the fixings to mouth watering chicken fried steak. If you're worried about getting enough to eat, don't you'll leave fuller than a Thanksgiving dinner. Plus its budget friendly. Great friendly environment that you can take the whole family to.

I ordered to go from here after my laundry room flooded- aka rough day. I told the woman on the phone that I was hungry with pregnancy cravings (very true) and my food was to be ready in about 15 min. I ordered the chicken fried steak with Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and fried okra.
Let me tell you- my craving was definitely satisfied. BUT not only that, the sweet woman put a free slice of pie in there with a note that said congratulations. I almost started crying there in the restaurant.
I will definitely be back!!

It is still the best cafe of anywhere. It's worth a 60 mile motorcycle ride to experience the best of food and service, bar none. Even the towns people are 5 star. Have been going for years. ✌👍

I've eaten at this place before but it was never this bad. Ribs were toughs and super greasy. They didn't even taste good. The fried okra was just plain nasty and the burger had far too much mustard, was falling apart before I even got it, and to make things worse, it didn't even taste good!

Food was fabulous, staff was amazing, and service was great!! Highly recommend this location! Prices were excellent and portions were perfect! Definitely going back!
