R & K Cafe

I took my mother to lunch. I was surprised that they don’t take cards. It’s cash or check only. My mom ordered a burger and fries. The fries were cold and the burger was dry. I got the hamburger steak with coke slaw, mashed potatoes and a side salad. The only issue I had is the salad was in a tiny bowl. Very disappointing.

This is your basic small town mom-and-pop diner where everyone knows your name, the average patron is over 70, and prices haven’t changed since the 1980s.

If an entree with 3-sides and a bread roll for under $10 is what makes this a great dining spot for you and yours, this is the place.

My CFS with cream gravy, mashed potatoes, fried okra and pinto beans (and a yeast roll) plus iced tea for $8.95 was on par with that price point.

Had a wonderful chicken fried steak whic was the right size and tender with fried okra, cabbage and fresh black eyed peas. The meal tasted fresh and delicious. Remember to bring cash or check, no cards. Great service.

Been here a few times and will continue coming back. I love their breakfast chicken fried steak and fried catfish.

Best restaurant staff in town, lunch specials provide more food for less money compared to running through the area fast food chains where there burger or chicken combo's cost more, at R & K Cafe the lunch special is $12 includes a drink and dessert, 3 veggies and 4 different meat choices and bread!

They also have an awesome breakfast, burgers, enchiladas and beef chilli.

Extremely fast service. BEST French toast I have ever had. Not to brag, but I am a man that has had alot of French toast, so that means something.

Great service.. momma's cooking, recommend.. stays busy. But I never have to wait..

Lovely cafe to come to for a delicious meal. I had the French Toast Plate, #2, and it was perfect! Friendly staff, quick service, great atmosphere. Try it for yourself! Bring cash, no cards.

Very friendly staff. Down home cooking.Off the beaten path but we'll worth it. However one down side..cash or check only but there is an ATM inside. Definatly worth anouther visit.
