Stopped by for coffee, and after walking in and getting hit by those amazing smells, we had to get breakfast as well! Everyone walked out happy with their order and coffee.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast on a Sunday, was greeted by friendly staff who were patient as we took time to decide what we wanted (and changed our order a couple times). The kolaches were yummy and our drinks were good- I recommend a smoothie or Thai coffee with boba. Overall pleasant and what we needed, would return.

if i could leave zero, i would. the food is great don’t get me wrong, but the way the management treats their staff is mind boggling. while an employee was helping me with my order they were simultaneously being “ripped a new one” by the management. micro-managing and correcting every little thing and yelling things that are just uncalled for. will not be coming back because i refuse to support a business who can’t even communicate properly with staff, let alone in front of customers.

Oh wow, where do I start?? I've been craving a croissant sandwich and found that this place had a good variety, so I tried them out and I am SO HAPPY I did! I got a BEC croissant, sausage and cheese kolache, old-fashioned donut, and a milk tea. Without a doubt, the BEST milk tea and old-fashioned donut I've ever had! The kolache was also extremely good with a delicious sausage and soft bread, and the croissant sandwich was just what I wanted. I got the milk tea without boba this time as a morning beverage, but I will definitely be back to try it with it! Definitely recommend stopping here instead of Shipleys!

Great place!!!

I have avoided coming here for a while bc it was a Shipley's before, and I figured it was still a Shipley's with just another name. I don't like Shipley's, it very cool that Houston folks love it, but I don't .

It is not a Shipley's it is way better, total unique place with its own identity.

I saw a lot that is not offered at other donut places.

I only had the Apple Fritter, bc I was craving one. It was soft, crispy, sweet and good amount of apple topping.

I will be back to try other items.

I go to this donut shop nearly everyday and one day I didn’t spend $5 so they notified me that I needed cash. Note, there is NO sign but the owner kept arguing that there was which is why I’m posting photos.

If you are going to accept credit cards at ALL, there is a fee associated with it and this is a COST OF DOING BUSINESS. If you want to be a business owner then it is not the clients responsibility to cover your fees. If you want them to cover your fees then add the percentage to their ticket however, I work in banking and I set up credit card machines. If you use a bank and receive wholesale pricing instead of PayPal or square, you are charged THE SAME AMOUNT whether I swipe my card for $1 or $5.

You have just lost an almost daily customer so now you have lost that revenue. Wouldn’t it be easier to pay the 2%?

This is America. If you want to own a business then own the cost of it. Period

UPDATED- The $5 minimum is on the left menu however the fact still remains that it is not the responsibility of the consumer to cover the cost of doing business. If I spend $3 as I was today, and you pay 3% + .10c because that’s a common cost, that is .19c….. but you’d rather lose $2.81 revenue plus all of the other purchases I would have made. Owning a business isn’t free. And if you want the benefit of accepting credit cards then don’t put stupid limits so the customer can’t fully benefit from using them.

I have been in Houston many times but for some reason never tried a donut or kolache. I looked up another shop but that one moved and Donut Factory was in its place. I had a glazed old fashioned and a ham and Swiss kolache. The donut was AMAZING! I’m sure the kolache was as well but as a first timer, I guess it was okay. I tried the other place too. Not great so I came back here again for an old fashioned and a sausage egg and cheese kolache— which was soooooo yummy!!!! Donut Factory is great! I don’t think I’ll try the other more popular place again.

If you haven't gone here your putting yourself at a donut disadvantage let me tell ya!

This place has some of the best donuts in Texas so far. If someone does it better than them my mind would be elevated. Is there such thing as an experimental donut kitchen because thats all I can think of that would be more tasty than the donuts here.

The staff is friendly, the tea I was given this morning by a lovely human being was mango delicious. They do so much here you'd thinkt here were open all day.

Kudos Donut Factory, Kudos.

Best service and the employees are always cheerful. Sausage and bacon kolaches are a great option!
