I had a Latte with Pandan syrup and it was good. Place was relaxing to sit and drink/work in peace. Definitely would recommend.

I went today very early in the morning with my husband. We ordered 2 Dark chocolate supreme and 2 Almond croissant. I drove 32 minutes from Cypress (in totally more than 1 hour). Was sad one 😞 Dark Chocolate supreme was not filled (was empty). My daughter was very disappointed when I came home, she was waiting for. Coffee was good.

Great coffee β˜• shop. Would come again. Their drip coffee is solid.

my prior review was removed, presumably because i used profanity to describe one of the owners, joey. he's a bad person, and your money would be better spent at literally any other business in the city of houston.

edit: i can't directly reply to the owner's comments to my review, so i had to add them to this original review.

response: its true my partner is a former employee who was mistreated by canary coffee and its owner joey. they are admitting that i have knowledge of what my review contains. he's admitting that i'm right.

I'm SO SAD for what has happened here. Yet another privileged owner blaming their own financial failings on amazing staff and the culture they created, while the workers bear the brunt of the consequences. This place WAS an amazing 5-star collection of good coffee and great people who genuinely enjoyed what they did, and now it is dissolving in another classist battle between the exploiters and the exploited. When will the luxury class learn that everyone deserves dignity and respect??

This morning while walking my dog and wishing a coffee was near I walked past this shop. I had to Google what it was because the signage isn't clear, but was thrilled to find out that it's a coffee shop! I live across the street and usually go down to The Mercantile, which isn't close, so I thought I possibly found a hidden gem.

Gone are the days of customer service however, and I'll never know if their coffee is good because I wasn't able to try it and won't be back to do so.

There are 2 ways to let a customer know not to bring their 2 lb. puppy, who they are holding, into the shop:

1. While they are next in line to order you stop helping your current customer to ask the customer who's holding the dog to leave from across the room, embarrassing them and making them feel bad (poor customer service- insuring no business and bad review), or:

2. Offer some welcoming options to gain business by taking care of the customer while staying within compliance in regards to the dog.

Seems like an expensive location for a small business to choose option 1. I'll keep making the trek to Mercantile. Perhaps when this place closes, I'll try the next business who moves in and hope they care enough to promote good customer service.
