Too Bad i Had to mark 1 Star, cause i wouldnt give this place even 0. -50 Is my score. 1. Buffet or what they call a buffet IS NOT properly heated. The food on the line looks like prison food. Trust me I Know. And No Lights to even see what your getting.
2. Order from the menu, Youll waste your whole lunch break waiting on the food you ordered.
3. I got the Cheeseburger, and found a WAD of hair on my burger. Not just a piece of hair, a WAD.
Even when the owner came out, he had attitude cause i didnt want to pay for my burger or the other food my wife and nephew ordered. (And they stopped eating as soon as i found the hair.
He said "So, you found a hair and now they cant eat Their food. And kinda gave a smerky laugh. NO MR. LONGHORN CAFE MAN, its not that they cant its I wont let them. No telling what can be in theirs.
Sad too, cause Harper is small and there ARE NOT much eating places here Besides DAUNA'S which I recommend to anyone...

If you are passing through, do not pass them bye! This place has evrything from fresh baked pastries and rolls to tex-mex and chicken fried steak! I had the Longhorn Steak for lunch after I saw the dish on the next table. Hamburger patti covered in brown gravy, carmalized onions and fresh mushrooms with cheese and jalepenos. Delicious! Lots of beautifull dishes were being served all around me and I felt cheated that I could only try one. It would take weeks to try all if these dishes to try and pick out a favorite. Pass through the crowded city of Fredericksburg to dine here peacefully!

We may be a one-horse town, but our Longhorn Cafe—really a restaurant—is known by locals, hunters, and travelers as having some REALLY GOOD FOOD!!! My brother and sis-in-law live in Austin and LOVE to eat at the Longhorn. And with a nickname of Big Jim, there's times when even I can't finish my plate!
But be prepared... The locals may look at you like a stranger, or come up, shake your hand and start talking to you like they've known you your whole life! And one of the more chatty ones, just may end up being me!

This establishment is the go to place for locals. When you walk in there you get greeted by the guests (must be locals). Friendly prompt service. Food portions are not for the faint of heart ... come hungry.

From the Hills of Fredericksburg going west, the small town of Harper has some big flavours!! Longhorn Cafe is a great place to come and relax with some coffee with your friends or alone. The staff is first class Hill country Texans, and loves to show that southern hospitality. The food is amazing, simply put. The coffee is better than anything in Fredericksburg, by far. Come join the folks in Harper, and enjoy your stay. You will surely, not be disappointed! Amazing staff, flavors, great attitude, and easy on the wallet prices! What more can you ask for?
