Step into Oz again today, just for a coffee with a friend. They created such a great atmosphere, that makes you want to hang around there longer then you had planned. I love “original” coffee shops and a ceramic small cup for a espresso is a must. Their BLT is a gourmet creative experience that should not be missed! Plus everything they serve is also so pretty! I love that… food taste but also look good.

Cute concept - HORRIBLE SERVICE! (see other peoples Google reviews who have also complained about the barista.) Have you ever been so excited to try something new that you order $50.00 worth of coffee and food, leave a sizable tip and watch the service go from a 10 to a 2 in under 20 minutes? Unfortunately, I was forced to spend too much time waiting in line for basic items that should’ve automatically arrived at our table with our food to enjoy the experience.
ABOUT: Oz Coffee Bar, located directly across from the Hood County Courthouse in the gorgeous historic downtown Granbury Square, is Texas’ first Downtown Square on the National Historic Register. The Victorian era building, built in 1890’s, has retained much of its antique charm with the old moulding, stone set walls and elaborate ceiling tiles. The coffee bar itself features an Oz theme with many nods to the classic movie throughout. The coffee was absolutely wonderful, but the food wasn’t worth the cost or hassle.
FOOD ORDER: We both ordered Lattes and enjoyed them. We also ordered the Wicked BLT - Bacon on the side (I’m a vegetarian) and the Smoked Chicken Wings. The sandwich was ok, but very dry and overpriced. My husband enjoyed his Chicken Wings as well as the Parmesan Ranch dip.
SERVICE: The service took a nosedive shortly after my husband paid for our meal and left the tip. The drinks were first, followed about 20 minutes later by our food order. I ordered the jam on the side with my bagel, so I got back in line when I realized that our food arrived with no knives or forks. Shortly after getting the tableware, we realized that they didn’t bring us any napkins, so I got back in line for napkins. After tasting the bagel that wasn’t seasoned, I looked around for salt or pepper and came up short again. Back to the line for the 5th time to wait on another set of basic staples that, for the price of the food they served, really should’ve been on the tabletops. At this point, the barista was NOT happy to see me again and was extremely rude.
OVERVIEW: Every single thing you’d need for your meal - napkins, tableware, salt and pepper and to-go boxes - are all located behind the counter… where you aren’t free to just grab what you need. They force you to stand in line EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I had to get back in line for a 6th time to ask for a to-go box, which she basically threw at me. If you don’t enjoy your job or helping people who’ve stood in line multiple times, unnecessarily, then have the basics delivered to the table with the meal or off to the side where people can get the supplies they need. It was enough to keep us from ever wanting to go back and I do not recommend this establishment for anything more than a to-go coffee.
PRICES/MENU: Oz doesn’t put their food prices on the menu board and there are no paper menu’s (I asked), so be sure to ask for a price before you order as the food is expensive! Every sit down restaurant needs to have salt & pepper shakers on the tabletops and napkins brought to the table with food orders which should be a no-brainer. These are super easy corrections that I hope someone in management will take to heart and change.

Had the Avocado toast with egg and Vanilla Latte- both were excellent. So good, in fact, I want back the next morning and ordered the same thing. :)

Came here for brunch after completing our Spartan race the day before. What a find! Only wish we’d known of this place sooner!

What a charming and quaint coffee and wine bar. Come in the morning for a fresh cup of Ethiopian coffee or expresso, enjoy the ambiance and then ask Savannah, Joyce, and Rose for what's the dinner special.
This cute place reminds of the random surprises you find in Czech Republic walking down old Town streets in Prague. Just charming small coffee shops you find that have more than just coffee.
Highly recommend as the gold standard in Granbury, Texas.

The experience of the OZ Coffe Bar is magical and fantastical from the moment you enter. From the adorable decor and cozy, inviting, seating areas, the welcoming fragrance of aromatic Ethiopian roast greets you at the door and the cozy ambiance draws you in with a desire to linger, sip and enjoy the warming atmosphere. The coffee roast is an exquisite Ethiopean blend with rich fruity notes of wild acidity with a strong, dry edge and full-bodied smooth flavor profile.
The espresso is served authentically on a tray with sparkling water. They offer a vegan alternative milk option of oat milk for lattes, and they have healthy, specialty latte blend such as the Dorothy Bulletproof Latte with adrenal-nourishing adaptogens..
Notable mentions:
Savannah - for her expertise and recommendations in creating an inviting atmosphere
Rose - for her brilliance in cuisine art
Jayce - for his skills in crafting exquisite lattes

Chef Rose and Savanah are awesome. The food is made to the highest level. Wicked BLT will have you drooling like Homer Simpson grasping the Venus de Milo. Have yet to try the cold smoked ribeye but it is on the bucket list for the menu. Sit back, relax and enjoy a nice latte. If you pass by it and not go in you will miss out.
