Wonderful little restaurant with book store ambiance! Delicious food, perfect southern sweet tea, and yummy desserts!

Plenty to see and do here, especially if you love books and games. Each table has a few games to play to pass the time, and all the used books along every wall are for sale. Reasonably priced homemade sandwiches were tasty. It's a surprisingly large place, with lots of kid-friendly activities.

Always a very pleasant experience. The food is always good and flavorful. The people are always friendly and smiling. Definitely a great place to grab coffee or lunch. There are even some books for sale if you find one that catches your eye.

Fantastic experience. The food was very yummy and obviously made with care (the crunch on my chicken salad croissant sandwich was so good! And the broccoli and cheese soup is some of the best I’ve had!) It was our first time and we were treated like regulars and were not rushed at all! Even when it got near closing we were encouraged to sit and enjoy our dessert there if we’d like. Let me tell you, enjoy that dessert we did! I had to try the classic- buttermilk pie (chef’s kiss! So delicate and sweet!) and my husband had the chocolate pecan cobbler with ice cream. Completely decadent!
Our one-year-old also highly approved of her grilled cheese and fresh fruit!
10/10 experience! Cannot wait to make this a weekly lunch stop for us.

So much fun eating here. Love the bookstore decor and food was delicious.

Usually love this place but we had terrible service this time. Couldnt even get our drinks refilled. Chicken salad sandwich was delicious as always but the buttermilk pie was slightly overcooked.

Best sandwich shop. Love the pickles and the friendly staff!

My grandma lives in Glen Rose, has my whole life, and every time I go down there, as of recently, I want to go to Storybook Cafe. It has some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of eating, and the staff is so friendly. The aesthetic in the place is the coziest, most welcoming thing in the world. I love it, and definitely recommend.

Ate here on our way to Fredericksburg! Super cute, cozy place with good sandwiches and soup. ALSO books :) Friendly staff.

Neat little place, and people were friendly. However the food was subpar. Grilled cheese special was literally one piece of what looked like kraft single. Chips are regular storebought chips. Ordered apple slices for my daughter, was charged for the entire child meal. Service was slow.
Would not recommend.
