Humble Grounds Coffeehouse

Second time visiting this place. It’s hidden away in the suburbs which makes for quiet outdoor seating! Inside is buzzing as they have plenty of workspace and free wifi!

This morning I went with a basic vanilla cold brew with a splash of cream. Super good and strong cold brew, not too much sweetness either.

For breakfast, I had the Brunch Sandwich. Crispy bacon, home-made herb spread, eggs, ham and tomato all on a plain bagel. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to start my day!

Humble Grounds Coffee describes not only the name of this business but who they are. The low key, quaint, and friendly atmosphere will drive you to come back again. We tried their coffee flight and it really was like drinking Christmas in a cup. The sugarberry cold brew was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back to experience the goodness of humble grounds coffee.

Where do I start. I drove from Katy out here to get a coffee flight for my birthday. I get there and unfortunately we cannot substitute the coffees in the flight. I would change that rule to allow the experience to be more unique and personalized. My sister ordered one and I wanted a different Latte since I couldn't customize the flight and they were out of the Horchata on a Sunday morning so we ended up sharing. Also, my sister wanted to ice something instead of hot and couldn't. Not cool.

Second and most importantly, we felt pushed out our seats. Apparently a cookie decorating class was going on as we watched the lady walk up with her wagon. She saw us sitting there and started setting up her event that we saw no reserved signage for. We went to order and sat right back where we originally sat only to find placemats all around us. Catching the stares and whispers I opted to move my sister and I to the other side as we could clearly see we were in her way. Immediately they put place mats where we were. Luckily, we moved a second time only to find d a better spot.

We visited well over 30mins catching up to see the event start. I felt as if the event host was damn near ordering the staff around to please her guests. They were pleasing her every request we had to clean our own table before sitting.

Maybe I missed the part that the she was the owner of the coffee shop but then if she was she definitely didn't make us feel welcomed. Poor workers having to deal with her bossiness. Reserved signage prior to the event would have been nice and would've avoided all of this.

It was a cute place but not worth visiting again.

I would've given it 0 for my experience but two stars is me being nice considering the servers that were nice and for the brown sugar cold brew only.

So so black coffee. There is 2 kind of black coffee. We tried both of them. 1 of is dark the other is medium roasted. I didn’t get so well flavor from medium roasted. Atmosphere is very good

I had forgotten that I had left a review for what was once First Cup. Humble Grounds is the new name and the new ownership is doing a fantastic job! You can tell they take great pride in their work and love providing a comfortable place to enjoy a. Cup of coffee and great food with friends or family.

We both had the pumpkin latte and she had the avocado toast with feta cheese - you know what they say - feta makes it beta. 😀 I love this new again spot and look forward to coming back soon!

A year ago I went to First Cup and gave them a less than sterling review…which was well deserved. I should have given them a two star but there staff was really nice…here’s the story of the past….not worth reading though because it’s under new ownership and it’s 100% better.

The atmosphere for a coffee shop is perfect. They have a big comfy couch area and there are plenty of tables with access to outlets for all your electronic needs. The staff is friendly and the parking situation is great...

I gave them a three star because they don't have much variety when it comes to breakfast. I had a plain bagel last time I was there and I can tell you it tasted a bit passed freshness. With the coffee shops opening up within a short drive from First Cup offering gourmet style food, it would be a great idea for them to get on their A-Game.

Great place for chillaxing and drinking coffee. I love cafes as they are warmer and more welcoming environments as opposed to more chain like cafes like Starbucks.

This cafe was very warm and Welcoming. I was instantly greeted as I walked in the door. I sat in a very comfortable couch while I waited a short time for my coffee. I only had a simple double espresso with cream, but it was really good and it had that natural nutty flavor to it as well.

If you want an option alternate to Starbucks, this is a really great place to try a good tasting cup of Joe.

This is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee. The service is friendly and helpful. The drinks are delicious. If you like flavored coffee you should try the coffee flight!! It’s the best way to try three at a time. Enjoy figuring out which one is your favorite! I love the Honey Lavender Latte 🥰 If you prefer the plain black coffee kinda sip, you won’t be disappointed.
My family enjoys playing board games while we have our coffee and this place has been a fun Saturday morning treat!

Fisrt time in this amazing place. For coffee lovers this is a must! Nice and comfortable ccommodations and vibe.

This place went through a positive transformation since the new owners took control.
It was an ok coffee shop, now it is a great one.
The coffee I ordered was perfect, served fast by very polite attendants. The menu also increased significantly.
The atmosphere is great. The new owners created an open space concept with clean and slick furniture.
Last, but not least, the Wi-Fi is fast!

I was happy to give this place a try. The coffee was good and the service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is laid back, a couple couches, and plenty of regular seating in and oitside. I was here Sunday morning and looks like a weekend favorite for local cyclists as well. Good spot, I recommend it.
