I drink tea 🫖 I love it when tea menu exists. My London Fog was divine, the blackity black book collection and cozy patio were a whole a$$ vibe. New study spot, I’ll be back!

I really wanted to give this place a chance. I ordered a iced mocha that tasted like a chocolate mudslide shake and iced latte that was just milk in a cup. Both drinks didn’t have any trace of coffee/espresso (that I could taste). It’s a nice little coffee shop with a upbeat vibe but the drinks are lacking. The pastry’s are good though and the employees are nice. I hope this helps the business, they have potential.

What a cute and REFRESHING addition to this side of town! The menu has some really great options - hot and cold drinks (dulce de leche is my current favorite) and pastries (so good) and it seems like they're always adding new varieties. It's pretty tiny inside BUT the outside patio area is expansive, and can accommodate quite a few people, even in covid19 social distancing times. highly recommend. I really wish they were open later!

Black and Bitter has become my family's go-to spot. From monthly sister-brunch to mom and daughter coffee to First Fridays supporting local musicians and artisans, I can't imagine Duncanville without this community hub. HUGE PROPS to the business owner for pivoting to meet the needs of the community during COVID (everything from sourcing toilet paper to groceries and a delivery service) and for redesigning their set up to make transactions safe for the community.
I also have to mention that they have been uber transparent on social media about how they are navigating the crisis, and this has made me trust the establishment even more.
Protips:
1) Plan to sit outside! Really lovely shaded outside area, which is dog friendly.
2) DO splurge on the croissants, danishes, or any other pastries they have on hand. You won't regret it. :)
3) Buy books here! If you're like me, you're looking for ways to purchase from small businesses in your community rather than Amazon/other big corp... check out their shelves! Other items (candles, coffee, merch, etc., all local) are also available - great for gifts.

Black and Bitter sells Vegan Beef Jerky! It is really good! My favorite is the Smoked Black Pepper.

Cool place with good coffee. Small outdoor hangout area and even smaller inside.

Great place but was receiving deliveries and was pressed for space inside. Seemed like delivery was having trouble just getting in the door. Service was good but server seemed bit stressed over delivery and from the sound of her responses was trying her hardest not to get upset. We sat outside and received our food which was great! I ordered the croissant with ham and cheese and was delicious! Aside from delivery and all it was worth it!

We visited the place for their monthly poetry night. The environment was very family friendly. The manager was a great host and had a great sense of humor. I ordered the chai tea latte and it was delicious. Better than Starbucks.
