Collin Street Bakery - I-45 Corsicana

Good selection of sweets! Even when you arrive 45 minutes before closing, they still have most of everything and everything is still fresh. Didn't try any lunch, but may in the future. Decent selection of lunch foods. Everything looked good and the sweets we selected tasted great. While I don't personally own a Tesla, they have charging stations available right outside, which is rare.

This is a happening place. While I have never been a fan of fruitcake this is the best I have ever tasted.
Overall it is a 5 star experience so if you like fruitcake then by all means this is your place.
Place is very clean and efficient. Staff is super friendly.
We also purchased some pecan bread that went well with some cream cheese and coffee. Don’t pass this place by.
You will be glad you did.

8 Tesla charging stalls. No more free coffee for Tesla owners at this location though. Greeted immediately and fast service. Sausage rolls and peach and apple turnovers were great. Bathrooms and dining room were spotless. Would return to this location on my commute from Houston to Dallas.

Collin Street Bakery is a Texas institution! Their fruit cakes have been shipped all over the world. They are not your typical fruit cakes. They are moist, delicious, and made with Texas pecans (pe-cah-ns)!

Their bakery and restaurant has much to be proud of as well. The cookie display will start your mouth watering. My favorite is the cheese crisp “cookies”. They remind me of the ones my grandmother made when I was a child. My husband loves the cherry refrigerator cookies.

There are so many great things to eat, and a bonus for those who drive a Tesla…there are charging stations!! Plug your car in for a charge and then go inside to recharge yourself. Win win.

Unfortunately I think I stopped on the wrong day, Bakery items were limited and they did not look fresh.. I ordered a loaded baked potato and it was pretty good.. This is a Beautiful building and the outside atmosphere was very inviting.. Good customer service..

Popular for the Fruit cake and been showcased in cult classic “The Godfather”
They have deli as well. Good coffee as well.
It is about 2 hours drive from Houston.
Place is closed on Sunday. So best to visit the place if driving to Dallas.

Nice store. Good food. Extravagant prices. A small fruitcake costs here about 22 dollars. At Walmart, a similar cake costs about 6 dollars.
