I'll be coming to CS for a couple of weeks a month working on a project. Sweet Eugene's has been a spot that I've been visiting to get some work done. It's my kind of shop physically, with lots of seating options in various rooms - tables, chairs, sofas, everywhere. I love that sort of thing. Outlets can be hard to find if you need that. The place gets packed with college students.
The coffee is fine and they make daylight donuts, which I love. The staff are nice and fairly efficient. I wish the menu was a little bigger with more than pastries, donuts and microwaved jimmy dean sandwiches.
I have determined that for me, this is more of a place that I'd go for leisure activities vs working efficiently. I did go back on a Saturday afternoon with a book, grab a coffee and couch and read. I love the art on the walls (my fav is the Meowna-Lisa). One thing I don't love are the posted signs saying "don't be that person" who brings outside food. It's tacky, and we get it, and if someone is gonna do it, they're gonna do it. Personally, I will always buy a coffee or something at a shop, but if I was having lunch or a snack, I've often brought in fruit or a home made sammie to have along with it. I feel like if you post signs like that, you should have a menu with more variety. If you had a veggie bagel sandwich, I'd totally order it.
Having said all that, it's my favorite leisure coffee shop that I've tried so far in CS.

I stopped there at 4:45 ish on March 25th and I never got the guy behind the windows name but he definitely made my day. I just found out that my dog is dying and he saw me crying and wrote me a sweet note that said “I hope your day gets better.” My faith in humanity is restored and I’m so thankful for that guy for being so kind to me.

We had the Mayan Latte, the Red Velvet Latte, the Snickers Latte, the hot chocolate with whip, a chocolate donut, and the Nutella cheesecake. All were so good, and the ambiance was so welcoming. Great hangout spot.

Sweet Eugene’s has become the College Station office for Nixon and myself. As a result, we have had a chance to sample a good portion of the menu and have great things to report on everything we’ve tried.
Our first venture into the culinary side of one of our favorite coffee houses was with their Crepes, made fresh, in house right before your very eyes at their open concept Crepe Station. I’ve tried Crepe Fear and Alexander the Crepe. Crepe Fear comes stuffed with mesquite smoked turkey, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, tomatoes and spinach w/ a touch of ranch and Alexander features ham, shredded cheddar, diced tomatoes, spinach leaves and honey mustard.
The Monterrey Turkey Panini with mesquite turkey, tomatoes, bacon, cheddar cheese and ranch dressing on spicy hawiian bread and chips served on the side makes a tasty light lunch. As does the Chicken Caesar Wrap served warm with roasted chicken, provolone, tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach and ceasar dressing.
On the “sweet” side of Sweet Eugene’s, I’ve loved everything I’ve tried so far, including the Chocolate Peanut Butter pie, the Strawberry Daquiri Cheesecake and the Cookie Monster (a frosting sandwich with an M&M cookie on each side).

This is a great place for chillin', hanging out with peeps, and having excellent coffee and treats. Some of our favorite couches are in this place. I've been a couple times with my girlfriend...wait. she really isn't my girlfriend, but we were cuddling a bunch for a while there. This place was perfect for snuggling with someone you hope to maybe one day have s more intimate relationship with, but it probably won't ever happen. Sad face.

Good cakes and coffee. Nice decor.
The place is really big and I could always find a seat. But it does get crowded.
They also advertise themselves as a donut place. But I found the donuts a bit underwhelming.

I'VE BEEN COMING HERE SINCE I WAS A TEEN IN THE LATE 00s! :)
The aesthetics are of the whole place are pleasing. Wonderful, calm atmosphere ❤️ where to can chill, study, or just hangout (semi)quietly with friends. 🥰 It does get very crowded during the school year but that doesn't stop me from coming here anyways.
Staff is always accomodating with allergy/dietary requests and are incredibly nice + patient when it comes to questions.
I always get the Al Paccino drink, yum. You can't go wrong with any sweet pastry you get here too!! ✨
OHH and the drive-thru is nice! I don't think I have ever waited more than 5 minutes for our drinks.

Usually love this place, but recently, been having a bad time. I went 4 days in a row and ordered the same drink. The last two times, I even told them what happened the first 2 times. No such luck. I struck out 4 times getting a Nutty Irishman. Other than that, pretty great study spot.

Not sure what has happened to Sweet Eugene’s in the last few years but it has gone downhill in food quality and service. I ordered an iced latte with almond milk and hazelnut syrup and the barista said “that’s weird” and continued to make comments about my order while making my coffee. The latte itself was okay. I also ordered a savory crepe that somehow managed to have extremely overcooked and rubbery eggs inside with uncooked dough on the outside. It was visually appealing but honestly one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. I took one bite and ended up tossing it in the trash. The atmosphere of Sweet Eugene’s is still quirky and fun so I recommend it if you’re looking for a interesting spot to study.

I would highly recommend this place. Great selection of different coffees, smoothies, sandwiches and desserts. Space to find a spot that's cozy. Great atmosphere 👌. Wifi works!!
