Runaway Train Cafe

This place is great!! When we arrived servers greeted us with an open door and a warm welcome. We sat down and the waitress took our drink order immediately. The service was excellent!! It has a diner feel in a really cool train car. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a chili cheese burger and both were fantastic. They were large burgers, the fries were delicious as well as the tater tots. The sweet tea was perfect and the waitress quickly gave us refills as well as offered to send us with a to-go drink. We will definitely be back!

Burgers definitely good. Girlfriends was a tad underdone in the middle, not a big deal, she likes every piece of meat she eats well done and we neglected to mention that to our server, who was quite nice. Fries were exceptional. Booth we were in could use a deep cleaning, not a big deal either, just an observation. The train car itself is way cool. I look forward to going back and trying other menu items.

Upon arrival the door was opened for us by a smiling staff member. I took note that the staff made it point to open the door and greet every customer. I had a delicious thick well seasoned Bacon Cheese Burger. It was AWESOME! The hamburger patty had to be hand made. The staff was polite, friendly and attentive to ensuring we had everything we desired. Yes, they even opened the door for us and wished us well as we departed. Best Texas hospitality we've had...ever! 😃👍🏼

This place was amazing all the way around! The staff held open the door as we walked in and were so friendly throughout our meal. The atmosphere was so neat for our kids, getting to eat inside an actual train car! The hamburgers were delicious and my husband had the jalapeno bacon cheeseburger. He said it was wonderful! Thanks for the great dining experience!

Started with nice atmosphere. Then got better with waitress that wad on her first day. And to top it off, food wad awesome. One of the best tasting hamburgers I've ever had. Very fresh, did not taste frozen. 5 stars.

What a fun atmosphere! The staff were super friendly and the service was great. We had to wait for a table but it was a pleasant wait. The burgers and shakes were great. My son loved dining in a train car and the staff were very sweet to the kids in the cafe. We will be back next summer when we visit.

1st time I ever went into this establishment. Staff is super friendly very knowledgeable of their menu. One of the best hamburgers I think I've ever had. I highly recommend this place. I don't remember the name of the appetizer I had but was onions and jalapenos fried they were wonderful as well. I was very impressed.

Amazing staff. Great burgers and shakes, the R&R club is perfect best club sandwich of anywhere I’ve been.
