Bakery Lorraine at Boerne

My wife and I are a couple of East Coast snobs here to visit my parents and we can’t go twelve hours without stopping into Bakery Lorraine and trying some more of their amazing natural wine selections. All varieties and great prices and that’s not even to mention that they’re a great bakery with all kinds of goodies to boot! Such a cute place with awesome menu of things to try, we LOVE this place (we also had to come switch out a wine that had gone bad and without a moment’s hesitation they let us take another bottle, so friendly and understanding!)

We had a wonderful time at the new Bakery Lorraine here in Boerne, Texas. The Kouign Amann and Almond Croissant are delicious! All of the food looked amazing.

The staff is great! They were all friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back.

Stopped in this morning for the first time. (Thrilled that they are open on Mondays!). Very chic and clean place with an amazing assortment of upscale pastries that are just jewel-like in their perfection. Amazing selection of pastel-colored French macarons and delicately beautiful cheesecakes. I tried the Kouign-Amman pastry... and it was absolutely scrumptious... so light, crisp and flaky. The house coffee was nice, hot and potent. A laid-back "Austin-like" crowd frequents the place. Free Wi-Fi. I'm impressed and will definitely be back soon.

Great dessert! I really enjoyed their German chocolate cake, can't wait to try more on the menu.

I did not try everything so I cant give 5 stars. Will update. The layout is 5 star with plenty of seating inside and out. Easily accessible for handicapped. Good selection of wine but a bit pricey. Lunch prices not bad but don't expect leftovers.

First off I'm so glad to see this old building in use. They did an amazing job making it look fantastic. While I enjoyed my French toast I have to say that my. Friends avocado toast was amazing!

I think they need more places like this in Boerne. It is a great bakery and cafe. They have sandwiches, quiches, and other breakfast and lunch items. Unfortunately, they only have one kind of GF muffin. Blueberry lemon, which is very good. All kinds of drinks, including wine and beer. This place is always busy. Go check it out if you have not been there yet.

2nd time here for lunch. Selected quiche Lorraine w sweet potatoes fries (both were cold and overcooked, tiny portion), bakery pastry with lemon curd (tiny amount of curd), and cup of tomato soup. $40 checkout. Disappointing! Weird bc the 1st time during Xmas season was great meal.

Great addition to Boerne. This is the 5th Bakery Lorraine of the company and it appears to be upholding the award winning tradition. Cuban was nicely done, the BLT was rated as very good, and the various pastries were excellent (our favorite is the Turtle Tort). It is a bit pricey though, but worth it. The design team who did the remodeling of this old gas/service station (if my memory serves me correctly) did an outstanding job turning it into a comfortable and relaxing place. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. The Director of Operations for BL indicated they will be opening some form of wine bar in the near future too.

You know, I really hate to say it, but it is what it is. The food was okay, lattes were mediocre, and seating wasn’t very pleasant. I felt as though the seating was designed to make you want to leave. Nowhere felt particularly comfortable or welcoming. The interior and exterior design are beautiful to look at, but not easy to get relaxed in. The food is incredibly expensive, even for Boerne’s standards. One lunch entree and a few small bakery items costed us over $50. I think we will skip Bakery Lorraine and go to Peggy’s next time.
