We really like coming here for a coffee and some breakfast. The place is nice with seating outside in front and in back as well as inside. What's super cool is they have a live DJ spinning vinyl in the main area inside. The coffee here is good and they have a selection of pastries and tacos. The tacos are delicious even though they're on the smaller side. The staff is great! They're nice, friendly and willing to accommodate. Out on the back patio could use a little freshening up, including the watering of some plants as it seems a bit rundown. Overall we had a really nice time here and would totally recommend it to others. #dj, #tacos, #coffee

Really nice coffee shop right up the road from Franklin BBQ. Only popped in for a quick Cortada as have been in US for a good few days and hadn’t tried a coffee yet. Was really good. They had a DJ, vinyl as well as outdoor seating. Overall really nice spot, I can imagine a fair few locals would be popping down to visit. Please seek out if you’re looking for a good coffee.

Hands down the best Mocha Latte in all of Austin. Super cool vibes and love the vinyl music. This is one of my top favorite coffee places in Austin. Tacos are good, staff are authentic and it’s a great place to just chill.

Eclectic atmosphere and excellent coffee. They have a nice little garden seating area tucked away in the back of the establishment. Their breakfast carnitas and egg taco was delicious! Very chill, calm, and relaxing vibe. The music that’s played here are from local artists. It’s a neat touch! Highly recommend.

This eclectic space is chalk full of personality, patrons, and delicious food and drinks. I was blown away by the carnitas taco and wishful that I had ordered more or tried a large sampling. I paired my breakfast taco with their refreshing cold brew and was reflective of what a wonderful gem this neighborhood of Austin has. Everyone was very kind and you could sense that this is a place with many regulars, and for good reason.

Thank you to the wonderful people making Try Hard a great time and place to be!

We were a fan of their coffee way before we knew there was a storefront. Another place on the North Loop serves their espresso. We asked what brand they use...Try Hard. Got there late Sunday morning. DJ spinning 70s/80s, sweet. I'm a record collector too, so two wins. Cappuccino, scones and tacos. Tacos a legit, not just a bunch of stuff poured into a tortilla. They are well thought out, ingredients are fresh. I need MORE.

Well, suffice to say, this place misses the mark in nearly every way, except the quality of coffee - which was very good, but overpriced.

I am saddened the old French bistro which used to be in this property is gone, another victim of COVID perhaps, however, it's replacement has no focus.

The outdoor and indoor furnishings and ambience are not welcoming or relaxing, including the tacky and dingy restrooms, plus a weird smell throughout.

I understand, in theory, the appeal of a DJ, but at 8am in the morning?

Really?

So my wife and I had to endure blaring loud rockabilly at 8am! (I am not exaggerating about the hour) and attempt to enjoy our cappuccinos and pastries, which total costed about twenty-five dollars!

Weirdly enough, even though we were the only customers in there, we felt crowded.

There are simply too many contrasting concepts conflicting with each other with an uncomfortable lack of focus for the customer.

I meant to post this review a year ago, when I first visited in November 2021. Long story short, this is one of the places that convinced me to move to Austin. The Vegan Migos Taco is the best taco I have ever had in my life. I’m not even vegan and I normally don’t chose vegan options but it just sounded too delicious to to NOT order. I ordered it last year in 2021 and it tasted the exact same in 2022. Everyone here is so incredibly kind. The outdoor patio is so fun, full of plants, colors, and disco balls. I was going to take a picture of my taco but it was so good I totally blanked when I started eating it. This is my favorite coffee shop in Austin so far. A big thanks to the employees for making me feel welcome. That kindness goes a long way especially when you are new to the city. 10/10 recommend !!!!

Cute coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating options. I will give the shop 10/10 for trying to create something unique.

We ordered

1. Die spitz - if you like a tad of sourness and bubbly this is for you.

2. The mood ring - I like this. A tad sweet I was hoping for more “color changing” effect but it wasn’t there.

3. Mocha latte - a tad sweet and didn’t have strong coffee for me. Wish I had add an additional espresso shot.

Overall it was interesting.

Solid coffee, great shots of espresso. The place has some great vibes! Fun and cool staff and they had a DJ putting out some good music. Didn't try the food, but it looked pretty solid.
