This shop might be a little overrated based on the normal traffic. In our group, we ordered one drip coffee, two lattes, one ritual, and a hot chocolate. The drip coffee was served a little cold with an odd aftertaste. The lattes were average, significantly better than starbucks but below average compared to other craft coffee shops. The two baristas were distracted by a local and forgot to bring one of our drinks. This same forgetfulness affected another customer who received their drinks after us but was in the shop before us. The specialty drinks should be listed on the menu as 6 oz. The price of the specialty drinks tend to make one think that they are larger than 6 oz. The ginger snap ritual tasted average and the ginger snap was incredibly hard. The hot chocolate was warm and tasted average.

Hands down best coffee in Austin. If you like starbucks and their caramel drizzled drinks, this place is probably not for you. If you can tell the difference between mediocre coffee and the perfect one, give this place a try. You'll be coming back again and again.

Very small but efficiently designed space. One of very few places you can pick the type of coffee that they use for your espresso. Although a bag of coffee is on the high side the staff are great at helping you pick the type based on your description of coffee notes that you prefer.

I'm delighted to have found this modern, cool spot that features all your favorite caffeinated beverages with their own unique flare. It's one of those places where the baristas simply love making coffee and it shows in the quality of drinks. Their roast is one of the best I've tried in a long time so the Americano was perfection in a cup. Fleet reminds you what's great about Austin and it's now set to become my regular coffee hangout anytime I'm in town.

The barista was incredibly friendly and knew all of the locals coming in and out. My coffee is delicious and even came with a beautiful design! I highly recommend Fleet Coffe if you are looking for a young hip atmosphere with a nice cup of joe!

Bottom line: great coffee, friendly staff, will return. The back story: The wife and I were exploring Austin and found this gem on yelp and decided to give them a shot. She had a cafe au lait and I just a latte. Their brewed coffee is flavorful and free of any acrid burned flavor. I preferred the espresso to the drip but that may have just been preference. My latte was very smooth and probably the best one I've ever had. The atmosphere was great, detailed to the T even for a building the size of a pair of shipping containers. The dishes felt like something you'd have around the house, and there were interesting nuances to the design, for example the HVAV duct was held up with leather straps. In all a fun discovery and a delicious cup of coffee.

You can't lose here if you need a good cup of coffee. Folks are authentically knowledgeable about what they're serving and where it comes from. One of my favorite coffee spots in all of Austin. And there are a LOT of really good ones here!

Fleet is my favorite cafe in East Austin. The staff are welcoming and know their coffee.

I start my day there with a pourover (sometimes) or a cortado (most times). Fleet also makes specialty concoctions, including their famous "After School Ritual", featuring Oreo-infused milk. It's worth trying, and less sweet than you'd think. No matter what you get, you'll leave energized.

The cafe itself is a striking triangle shape. It's small. Think efficiently-organized coffee submarine, minus the claustrophobia. It gets crowded - especially weekends - but there's an outdoor patio.

Hungry? Every morning they've got breakfast tacos from Veracruz, my top pick for tacos in East Austin[1].

If I were to open a cafe, I'd open one like Fleet.

[1] I like Tacodeli, but they're no Veracruz.

My favorite coffee in Austin, and I drink a lot of coffee.

Love all my Austin shops. Medici, Flat Track, Flightpath, Houndstooth, Greater Goods, Patika, and all the others... But Fleet is my number one.

Fleet Coffee knows how to deliver when it comes to coffee! The small coffee shop offers a variety of coffees and tacos/pastry goods.

The shop's small size makes it more of a come and go place, where you drink coffee and catch up with friends, meet random friendly Austinites, lovers, ex-lovers (on second thought..), dogs, maybe even cats in strollers?

I ordered the Iced Latte and it was on point, and at a decent price. The Morning Ritual is something I'll have to try next time; who doesn't want a donut-infused espresso with a donut hole on the side?!

Beautiful interiors, a decent amount of outdoor patio space, and lots of street parking, Fleet Coffee is definitely the new hot coffee spot in east Austin!
