The 806 Coffee + Lounge

Amarillo is not lacking when it comes to coffee houses and this is my favorite. I love walking in and seeing their gallery which is updated monthly. I adore that they support local artists! Their coffee selection is top notch, I have yet to try a flavor I did not like. The Ju Ju is my fav. They have open mic night on Wednesdays and great specials too. They support their community and are strong advocates for the San Jacinto neighborhood. This is definitely a place you need to check out, and then return to often.

We filmed a documentary here, One Week Til Doomsday, and they were the most lovely people ever. Great beer too. Wishing y'all all the best. Happy yo see a local spot for lgbtq youth.

This place is actually pretty great. Was really laid back, loved the atmosphere. Honestly, I was surprised to find hipsters even existed in Amarillo. Apparently they do though, and this must be their Mecca. In all seriousness though, the coffee here was great, the service was great, and if I ever happen to pass through Amarillo again I will definitely drop by a second time.

Stopped here on our way through town. Great food and friendly service. Amazing selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Atmosphere was unique and fun. Would definitely recommend!

This shop is amazing. They bring in some incredible bands and offer great coffee, a fantastic beer selection and a menu with some truly incredible food. The pizza bagels are freaking amazing. This is the coolest place to be on 6th and the only place to be for great indie music and caffeine. Can't praise them highly enough

This place is just a bad vibe. Rude workers and unpleasant. Place seems eclectic and interesting but once you walk people working there aren’t very nice. Just go somewhere else

I enjoyed an expresso macchiato today for my first experience in 806 Coffee. I liked it and my spinach, mushroom breakfast taco was very good as well. I can't wait to go again try something new.

The coffee here is great and probably the only place in Amarillo that has hemp milk. I get they are primarily a coffee shop so I'm trying not to hold this against them too much but being an all veggie place I expected there to be more vegan options. When I asked the girl there if they had any vegan pastries she directed me to something that was gluten free. (They don't have any vegan pastries at least they didn't when I went) more vegan options please!

The coffee is amazing. The menu is really good. We went twice during our 3-day trip to Amarillo. The first time we went about 9 when they had a singer and the whole place had an amazing vibe since we arrived. We had a great dinner with great music. The had a chess board, so we played for a little.
The beverages are really good too!
I loved the pizza, the bagel, and pretty much everything.
As a vegetarian I was amazed to find a place with such variety and good flavors in their menu.

Top option in Amarillo. I would go back to Amarillo just to have another cup of coffee.

Home away from home. In love with this place and have been for years.
