We were so excited to visit here while on a trip to Nashville. It's so much smaller then we realized but so charming and with so much history from our favorite artists! Disappointed that they haven't been able to open, but we enjoyed looking in the windows. Lol

We were able to get in as walk-ups, so we were very excited. The performers were great.

Unfortunately I did not arrive early enough to get in as a walk up. But they allowed us to go in for a couple of song.

It's difficult to put into words how cool it is to go to the Bluebird Cafe if you're a country music fan. The venue is so small and intimate, and realizing just how many amazing artists got their start here is unbelievable.

Yes, it's difficult to get tickets. We didn't get tickets so we showed up an hour and a half early and got in without a problem. The first 8 in line get seats at the bar and then next 10-12 get church style pew seats. From what I gathered, there is no cover charge for these seats during the early show, just a $7/person food & drink minimum.

Honestly I can't speak to the food because I didn't eat it, but no one goes for the food.

Do yourself a favor and make the extra effort to get in here. It's worth the trouble.

My review is based on the Staff and Procedures used for those who visit this well known landmark, without a reservation...

Those with Reservations lineup to the Left of the front door... Those without, lineup to the Right of the front door... Usually 20-30 without reservations are allowed seats, based on availability.

Typical wait times are and hour to two, in order to be allowed unreserved seating... Undoubtedly there will be many who do not get in and the Staff should have consistent procedures in place...

One of the Staff came out and announced that they would allow us in to hear one song, any picture taking during that song and souvenir purchase at the register... That Staff Member took folks inside in the order that they were in Line... Not long after that, another Staff Member came out and asked those wanting to go in, to move to the Left of the door, which gave many at the end of the Line, the chance to go inside first...

We moved over to that other Line, now at the back of the Line, and then waited longer to get inside for the Song & Photo Opp... That same Staff Member was the one who took us inside and after buying a souvenir, were told to move on and leave, without hearing one... If I were alone, I would have also missed the opportunity to take Photos...

Other than showing a little more kindness, the Staff should think about coming outside and offering or selling cold water or perhaps an umbrella to those waiting outside for two hours in the heat...

Lesson learned, make a Reservation!

Everything you'd hope for as a fan of Nashville (the show and the city). They let us in - we showed up randomly and late - and my husband was practically on stage with four very talented songwriters. Amazing night, thanks so much for the experience!! We laughed, we cried and can't wait to come back!

One of Nashville’s treasured spots to hear great music and enjoy some drinks with new friends!
I got in line about 3 hours before the 9:30pm show (at least 1 hour before the show might be fine). The staff and people waiting in lines are extremely friendly and you tend to talk to people all over America!

Glad I was recommended to visit the Bluebird cafe. It’s nostalgic to watch Nashville and find it they filmed at the bluebird cafe as well!

Wish I had a better experience. I first had purchased tickets directly from the website & was mislead to purchase tickets from another venue called 3rd & Lindsley, not a local so didn't know the difference. Then, when we arrived to the new venue, I was told my order was cancelled with no notification. The venue worker offered to let us stay & pay for new tickets, but we didn't like the energy from the experience and decided to leave

The Bluebird Cafe is a Nashville icon and for good reason. There is no better place to see incredibly talented singers and song writers than right here. My wife and I had reservations and went to the Saturday night show which was the best part about our tip to Nashville. If you have the opportunity to see a show here you have to do it!

This totally understated but iconic place resonates talent, and is a must for Nashville visitors. Song writer/ performers were so talented.
