So consistent! The best espresso in Nashville. 3 years running (according to me. Lol) I appreciate the craft sump! You care, you have standards, and it shows.

As a coffee person, I love getting the chance to visit other coffee shops when I'm visiting from out of town. Loved Sump Coffee in Nashville. The coffee was delicious, the chai was yummy, and the atmosphere was cozy. Appreciated the baristas and their kindness as well as suggestions on what beans to purchase and why!

A must coffee visit.

There are all kinds of coffee shops in Nashville, and there are plenty that are enough that make a point to show how serious they are coffee. This is very difficult to pull of and not look like a bunch of self-important hipsters. The vast majority of "serious" coffee shops either can't pull it off because their staff doesn't know anything more than the instructions from the manager, or they're so pretentious that you don't fee comfortable talking to them.

Thankfully, Sump is not either of those. Baristas are intelligent enough to talk coffee and make really good coffee without being so full of themselves that you don't want to know about it. My only issues are the awkward location and the price, which was a little high. Still solid four star coffee place. If you're a coffee guy, and you know if you are, then this is definitely a cool place to check out.

I can honestly say this was the best coffee I've ever had. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cool place to enjoy a cup of coffee.

They do the fancy coffee thing. They know a lot about coffee and it shows. If you're into that, you would probably like it. It's also a very airy, naturally well lit, inviting space. And the staff is friendly. So even not being someone who is super into the intricacies of coffee I still enjoy it very much each time i go. And I'll continue to go. It's location is so convenient if you're spending time at OneCity or heading down Charlotte too.

I have two favorite coffee houses. Sump is one on this side of town. Don’t know how they do it, but the crema their baristas deliver is spot on. They offer Dozen Bakery pastry/muffins, too! Staff is ALWAYS kind and welcoming.

Great coffee and a wonderful, friendly staff with a passion for coffee

First of all, this is not the place to get a fancy latte or a bottomless brew. There are plenty of other places that will accommodate that. Sump is a place to experience coffee in pure and honest way. As a lover of coffee, I have not found another roaster / cafe that serves coffee in a way that brings out the best of the bean and not the roast. Mostly all light roasts, there is such measured purpose in everything these guys do that I believe it honors the farmers around the world that grow these beans.

Just be prepared as there is no sugar or cream options in this cafe. But don’t let that dissuade you. Do yourself a favor and just go and try one of their brew methods of the day. Be careful though.. You may find that you change the way you drink coffee forever.

Very excited to have Sump in Nashville! If you are looking for coffee done right, look no further. They know coffee and are very passionate about their product, which is second to none. Their St. Louis shop was the first to open my eyes to what coffee can be when it is roasted and brewed to perfection, and I have been hooked ever since.
