Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Hidden gem of a place and the workers are always friendly

First of all, this place is demonic. There are demonic images everywhere and I didn’t realize it til after I ordered. Second of all it was $7 for a tiny cup of coffee the equivalent of a tablespoon. Who would guess Starbucks would give me more coffee for the same price. I will never be back. I had to ask God to forgive me for giving any money to them.

Sump has, without a doubt, the best coffee I have ever had. The Costa Rica pour over is incredible and the espresso is awesome as well. If you are a coffee purist, this is the place to go. If not, just know there are no flavor shots and coffee is served black. The staff is wonderful and the place has a cool, industrial feel. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Great atmosphere. Amazing chocolate latte (I asked for a vanilla mocha and they said they didn't have vanilla, this was a more than acceptable substitute). Great service. And yeah, the sun on your back in the morning is a great selling point.

Personable staff & unique contemporary design provide an excellent place for work or reading.
The double espresso is highly recommended.
There is a bocce court aside the patio and common space outside among various water features.
The exterior space faces East and is rather warm in the morning during Summer.
There is adequate common space on the west side of the office building that Sump Coffee resides in which to sit about.

Went to their original location in St. Louis a couple months back and was thoroughly impressed. The owner mentioned that they were opening up a new shop in Nashville so I figured next time I was passing through the city I had to stop by. Beautiful beautiful store, lots of open seating, cute outdoor space in what seems to be a redeveloping part of town. Since I was passing through I couldn't sit down and enjoy a latte and got a iced latte to go instead. It was rich and full flavored, Maybe a little too much milk but I never like too much milk. I'll need to stop by again sometime soon and get a cappuccino.

From Seattle to China, Australia to Italy, and countless places in between, I have yet to taste a cappuccino as complex as Sump Coffee's. Every aspect of the brew was perfectly balance and nuanced. Highly recommended.

Delightful coffee, the syrups are store made and aren't too sweet, which is my preference. The espresso was perfect, not bitter and not sour, the milk was airy and fluffy. The music was really interesting, never knew what was coming next but not in a bad way! I only wish there was more plugs.

Low key , best coffee shop in town. It’s off the beaten path but a great spot to grab a coffee, walk in the small park or just relax after a long partying night.
