I love the atmosphere. Very open and well designed. Coffee is ok. Their employees don't seem to enjoy their job. It is like they are stressed out about something.

Barista Parlor was a stone's throw from our AirBnB, and we couldn't have survived our weekend in Nashville without our daily fix of coffee and breakfast. Really nice space, good quality coffee and food (try the breakfast burrito!). Staff was competent and polite but not especially friendly, and with a celiac in the family we were disappointed there wasn't anything gluten-free on the menu.

Easily the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shop experience in all of NASHVILLE. The space is stunning, but off putting. First time visitors will almost always mention the awkwardness of figuring out where to go, does someone seat you, how does ordering work, who actually works here? And I’ve never had any employee greet me verbally when entering. Physically uncomfortable chairs. Steep prices. If you need an exquisite pour-over coffee experience painstakingly curated and you have a lot of time and patience and need extreme hipness you will love Barista Parlour. If you just need a quick cup please go elsewhere. Did I mention the biscuit takes about 20 minutes busy or slow and it doesn’t usually arrive until your coffee has been long, long gone? There’s that too. Gorgeous place though.

One of the few places we found that opened 'early' when visiting. Loved the breakfast burrito and sauce served with it.

I tried the iced bourbon vanilla coffee and it was delicious! I love a creamy iced coffee with lots of flavor and that’s exactly what you will get with this one! Very laid back and casual place and sit while enjoying some great coffee. I love that it’s not a tiny place where you are squished and don’t have room to breathe. This is a place I would most certainly visit over and over when I’m in Nashville.

This business decided to fire an employee of 7 years because she asked for a livable wage. The community will not stand for this type of mistreatment. Avoid this place at all costs and take your money to a more ethical business.

My husband and I have been patrons of this establishment since you opened up in East Nashville. I say that because I want you to understand that the complaint we are making today is shocking.
My husband ordered online and went into the store to pickup our coffee and biscuit. When he arrived he was informed that you were out of lids. Not the biggest deal if we were having breakfast at the store, but my husband couldn’t drive the coffees home without them spilling in the car so he asked for a refund for the coffee.
The guy walked over to what I am assuming is the manager to tell her my husband wanted a refund. In plain sight of everyone including my husband she said to the guy, “You have to be kidding me. He wants a refund because we don’t have lids?!” Apparently she ranted on for some more time before coming over to give him the refund.
My husband explained to her that he heard everything that she said and that it was extremely rude. She didn’t apologize, she just said, “I get it. I will give you a refund.” All while still being extremely rude. My husband told her that we come all the time and while she didn’t know that he didn’t understand why she felt it was okay to treat customers in this manner period.
My husband has said that she was so rude that he will never come back again. If he feels that way, how many other patrons feel that way about rude staff. Not to mention we live a few houses away from the owner. Is this how you want your neighbors treated?
This incident happened 6/27/21 @ 10:15am. Hopefully this will help you pinpoint the rude employee that is costing you business.

Awesome place. Expensive af, but extra af. Pour over was delicious, biscuit sandwich was delicious. Beans I bought are amazing at home too.

They win the coolest place to go have coffee award, hands down. And they are super happy, nice people with great coffee.

Bitter Coffee. Expensive. Loud.
This place a big disappointment given the glowing reviews and the "coolness" factor of their design and layout.
A good coffee shop should be able to make a great simple cup of black coffee. It was a fail. Coffee was bitter (good coffee should not be bitter) and too watered down... my guess is over-extraction?. It reminded me of growing up at home whereas my parents drank Folgers and Maxwell House. I mean it tasted just like those brands and it was very hard to finish the cup. Hate to say this, but Starbucks makes much better coffee.
Had a latte which was nicely done and would have again, but not at the price. This place is simply way too expensive for the quality level. I guess welcome to East Nashville and the hipsters.
Lastly, while a cool looking place, it got very loud with only about 10% full and I had to leave. Couldn't imagine what this place is like when it has a lot of people.
Off to a better coffee shop.
