January 22, 2022 looking for a spot to park my 18 wheeler, x232 A i thought the billboard said as i was going east bound on interstate 40. Thornton Tanker driver at the wrong location directed me to this location, very Thankful! Great place clean about 10 places to park , clean restroom, had plenty of pre prepared breakfast sandwiches coffee, just clean crisp feeling my whole experience. Diesel was only $3.39 per gallon here and at the major chain truck stop it is approximately .50 cents higher. Thank you all Thornton's associates to make it a great place. God bless
Small truck stop. 10-15 "Legit" spaces. I just love the dounuts. They put Krispy Kreme to shame. They have beer as well and a good selection of hot/cold food items. 👍
Shame they didn't acquire more land. It's a real prime spot to be a banging trucks stop unfortunately it's small. 11 parking spots, two taken up by dropped trailers and one a box truck that could easily go in with the autos and another two taken up by bobtails , maybe another two spots you could squeeze a rig against the curb. So, you're rolling the dice if you're coming here to park. Aside from that it's a nice, clean, friendly, well -stocked establishment.
Very clean, outside, inside, & in the restroom. Very friendly employee & reasonably priced, so-so parking for big trucks but the Lemon Frosted Blueberry donuts are delicious!
Not a single bad thing to say. It is a small truck stop but what matters more to me?? This is the cleanest truck stop I've ever seen and I hope it stays that way. The customer service is great. The employees had smiles on their faces and they weren't walking around like they hate their jobs. One can only hope that means that Thornton's treats them well and pays them well. My favorite part though, was the pizza wedge!! It was small but it was so yummy. All crispy and cheesy!! 😋🍕💜
This would be a 5 star review if reviews did not include the associates... one in particular. I had avoided this place for the past 3 months because of one exceptionally rude lady who works here in the mornings. This location is literally the only store between my workplace and my residence so it's a shame that one employee can ruin my experience. Previously this woman gave me attitude for asking for assistance FOR A TOBACCO PURCHASE!!! lol... I OBVIOUSLY can't go behind the desk and get my cigarettes nor can I (as a customer) verify myself as being 18+...
This morning, however, she took it to a whole new level. Once again, I was in self-checkout. Again, the only reason I even went inside was because I forgot about this exceptionally rude lady that was there. I grabbed 4 warm breakfast biscuits off of the rack in front of the store. Then I went to self-checkout and put the first biscuit in a bag. The bag had a hole in it... so the biscuit hit the floor. No big inconvenience. But then I go to that same lady, after looking around for ANY OTHER EMPLOYEE that might be present, and I explain the situation. I showed her the hole in the bag and the biscuit. The lady then proceeded to snarl at me and in a mean voice say "I have to throw it away now!" as if it was MY FAULT lol. She is a nightmare! I have friends & coworkers who still shop at this Thornton's... and if they tell me she quit or got fired then I'll shop here again. Because it's an amazing store when she is not stomping around inside.
Great Thornton’s, mostly. Yes, it’s a clean store, nice personnel as well. Self checkouts are kinda new to me for Thornton’s, but that’s fine. One thing though. Ease up on the sugar in the sweet tea!! Got some here yesterday, and it was more like tea flavored syrup!! Need help in this area, ask Lisa at the 109 store how to make sweet tea. She makes it perfectly!!
I just called the place to ask for diesel fuel price and was told they don't give that out over the phone. That blew my mind. You'd figure I was ask for social security number or something. All other truck stops I call helpfully give that info.
