Carigas island cafe

EAT HERE!! Great service, great music, great food!! Actually the Carigas Burger is seriously the best burger in the USVI! Such a rad vibe! Oh! And don’t forget the key lime pie! OMG!

If you like an experience combined with good food, this is your place. When traveling, I like to experience the locals, to get out and see the real island and all that makes it what it is. Carigas is it. Nestled among shipwrecks in red hook, it's a quaint, outdoor venue surrounded by mangroves. We dined here for breakfast yesterday and we are going back for lunch today. A wary iguana, who apparently likes to sample the fresh herbs, was out dining partner along with some little yellow birds flitting about. We saw a barracks, albeit a tiny one, with a fish head prize in the shallows. Everything was delicious. We recommend it.

I'd give the food and value a 4-star review, but the three ladies running this place when we came in this morning were so sweet we feel obligated to rate it at 5 stars. Also, it's a cool place -- located literally in the back of a marina where whips are worked on it's an outdoor bar/cafe that sits on top of a mangrove at the edge of the water. You will share the space with the large iguanas that roam around (see photos) but do not feed them (as 3 or 4 signs will tell you explicitly).

We got the Huevo Ranchero and Breakfast sandwich and both were good, though the Huevo Ranchero is just a single tortilla so may not be filling for those who have a large morning appetite.

The spicy Bloody Mary's are great, so if you like Bloody Mary's make sure you get one.

Wonderful quaint little restaurant in St Thomas. The food was good, family owned, great service. It would have been nice to have gotten some authentic Island breakfast meals offered. But overall food was good.

Probably one of the happiest places in the world. The food and libations are on point, but that's not what sets this place apart. The family vibe here is the real deal. Gabi, Sally, and Randy have brought so much joy to the island. Best spot to hang out and make friends. Thank you guys for the years of awesomeness.

Best Breakfast on the Island. Sally is AMAZING. I had the croissant special and my girlfriend had the American breakfast and everything from the potatoes to the eggs was delicious. It's that place you just want to hang out and relax and enjoy life.

Really enjoyed this place. It’s out on a boat dock so you’ve got view of water. I ordered the strawberry pancakes (they were a daily special) and a side of potatoes with a mimosa. The pancakes were delicious and possibly the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had. Location is tricky. You will drive past an area that says no parking /private parking.. keep driving in and the restaurant is to your right with available parking out front.

Nice little gem of a bar. Found it only by accident after living on St. Thomas for a year. Great place for breakfast. There's something about this place, its location, that reminds me of movies like "islands in the stream", an old Caribbean flair.

Veggie scramble over tater tots rocked this morning! All the best veggies, perfectly cooked and of course fresh OJ. Keep ‘‘em coming Carigas!!!
