Mews + Brews Cat Cafe

I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a visit! I came to Mews and Brews on a trip to Charleston from out of town, and was SO impressed! The location is adorable, with a huge yard and tons of parking. The inside has been beautifully renovated and has a cozy feel to it. You can tell the owner cares about these cats so much, and they are treated so well at the cafe! Definitely make a reservation because I saw several people get turned away due to being at capacity! I also recommend going early, as I saw 3 cats get adopted while I was there. Overall it’s an amazing concept, the first of its kind in Summerville, and I can’t wait to see all the events this place puts out! Just be wary of children’s hours, as they have the age limit set to over 12 to ensure the cats comfort! Please support this local business!

This cafe is set up perfectly to really get quality time with the cats. Every person of their staff was extremely friendly and helpful! They even helped me put together my travel carrier. They made our adoption experience easy and fun, and I can’t thank them or recommend them enough!

My friends and I visited a few weeks after opening. Great spot, thrilled to have this so close to home! Very reasonable rate per hour, clean cafe and restrooms. The cat lounge is cozy and treats are supplied for you to give the cats when you arrive. I'll definitely be back to visit! 🐈

I love this place! The cats are adoptable, so you can bring one home if they choose you! I adopted this sweet kitty last week. The staff are kind and helpful, and the drinks/snacks are great.

My two grandsons and myself visited the cat cafe for the first time and we throughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were kind and friendly, and the cats were so cute and chill. There is something to be said about benefits of giving caresses of love and receiving unconditional love from an animal. Feeling a little stressed one day, stop by for a little cat therapy. 😼

Mews is an awesome spot to grab a drink and something tasty to snack on while hanging out with a bunch of cool cats (and the humans are great, too!) A wonderful place for kitties to chill out and be pampered until they find their forever homes! I've been twice and love the whole idea of the cat cafe; Cait and her staff are a fantastic bunch, can't wait to go back!

First time going to a cat cafe. It was good, but there was only 4 cats. All hiding under a sofa. Only one would come out and let you pet him. I understand how cats are, but there was about 8 people in this one room. The staff were very nice and helpful though.

Been twice now and even brought family that was visiting from out of town. Always a great time and the cats are clearly happy and well taken care of. This is something Summerville needed to help with keeping as many cats out of shelters as possible. I plan to keep coming back frequently to meet the new cats and support this business so they can keep doing the amazing work they are!

Great atmosphere and very cozy! The drinks and pastries were great and it was nice being able to relax and hang out with some cats! It did feel cramped at times, especially when first walking in. Definitely making a reservation is the way to go. For sure will be stopping by again!
