The true definition of a cold atmosphereless sterile gathering. The no personality, nose pierced, Gen Zs working why not try smiling and thanking your customers. Oh, maybe learn how to make a good cup of coffee.....unless it was your first day on the job, then it makes sense. I will never be back....

I visited The Common House after a long evening at a wedding searching for food. Their kitchen had just closed, but they made an exception and prepared dinner for me and my young daughter. The staff was so accommodating and welcoming despite me being "that guy" who asked for after hours food. Thank ya'll for the hospitality!!!

I have lived in Anderson for 4 years and have wanted an experience like this, but have been deprived until now! Incredible coffee, incredible food, a beautiful building, and actually affordable prices (we’re talking $2.50 tops for a drip coffee). Can’t beat it folks!

Was there for soft opening last weekend. This place is fantastic! Great spot to relax and enjoy a quality brew at a bargain price. I think their grand opening is not until mid-January. You need to go. No place like it in the upstate.

Such a fun experience! Speedy and kind service, vibe-y atmosphere !! My oatmilk honey latte was so good I had to resist the urge not to chug it lol. Will be back! <3

I'm glad Anderson has its own coffee house so I don't have to go to Greenville anymore! (Will still go to Methodical, though) The building was nicely renovated. The bathrooms are clean. The seating options are comfy enough for long hours on the laptop and stylish enough for a coffee date. The staff is friendly. The coffee is pretty good, standard coffee. The food options are awesome. I had THE best avocado toast and panino sandwich the other day. The prices are surprisingly low. Only downside is the Internet quality is poor; hopefully there is a solution for that soon.

Absolutely amazing! Super friendly staff, they didn’t look at me funny for bringing a baby in either! Coffee was perfect and loved the seating, it’s the coffee house Anderson has been needing!

First, let me say that the staff and space rate a solid five stars. Our barista Austin was the best. Welcoming and informative. In addition, the baked goods and Acai bowl were to die for. Where The Common House goes wrong is with their #1 product- the coffee. They have beans curated for them by Bridge Street, of which I am not a big fan and for some of the same reasons. I wanted to experience an espresso as I always do, as well as a drip coffee (usually dark roast). The espresso was a paper cup affair which Austin pulled from a terrific hand press machine. The experience was top notch, until... I would have expected a better set-up with a small white ceramic cup, sparkling water and a spoon for stirring. What I got was a paper cup filled with a very sour pull. I'd like to blame the barista, but I believe he bean is to blame. Well, maybe a little of both. As for my drip, it was the same bean, which is fine as it's the pull not the bean that makes the espresso. I had asked for a dark roast, but what I received was something medium at best. Additionally, I when I asked for a bit of half and half or heavy cream, I was told the owners believed I should only drink whole milk with my coffee. What?! "They are Italian and traditionalists" I was told. Well, regardless of one's heritage, you need to play to the audience and people here like half and half, and I don't think I am the only one. Maybe I a picky, but it's my $5 coffee. FYI- It was a good drip, just not dark enough for my taste. All of this said, I will give them another opportunity if only for the beautiful space, people and food. Worth a visit for sure and I'd like to know your opinion.
