The Common House

This was an absolutely amazing experience. This is the type of coffee shop I always look for when traveling. The baristas were probably the nicest and most welcoming I have ever interacted with in a coffee shop. Love this place! Can’t wait to travel back to Anderson and experience this again! 🤟🏾❤️

My sister and I initially went to Bradbury bistro to grab some breakfast but quickly realized all they sell are coffee and pastries. So we headed down the street to see what the common house had to offer and we were so impressed! I had the egg bites and my sister had the avocado toast. Both were absolutely delicious! They also had $5 mimosas, score! The place is quite large with plenty of seating yet it still feels intimate. They also offer lots of different lattes and tea drinks as well. I also got a pastry to go, I believe it was some chocolate swirl stick, and it was also delicious.

Very cool new place to check out! The interior is beautiful with an upstairs & downstairs that have an industrial yet farm to table ambiance. You order when you walk in, but it was a bit unclear as to what wine & beer offerings there were. Docking a star, bc they ran out of cold pinot grigio & don't offer any domestic beer for those that don't enjoy craft beer. Also, only 2 individual, unisex bathrooms downstairs, which resulted in lines & waiting. You can also order more once seated. They had a live sax player, which was really nice but made it a bit hard to have conversation in the lower area. The food was OUTSTANDING! Had the charcuterie board & butternut squash soup (best I've ever had & a smidge thicker & different than many I've tried). Compliments to the chef! The service was great & prices were good. We'll def be going back here often!

Amazing new coffee shop in anderson. Been waiting for this one for a while. Coffee is phenomenal, aesthetic is stellar, and staff is exemplary. Surpassed all expectations!

The atmosphere is fantastic inside. Wish there was more seating because it felt a little empty but still the vibes are great!! The staff is impeccable and customer service through and through. Drinks for both alcohol and coffee are priced right for the selection and for what you get. The coffee drinks while I did not have I have been told by many that they are excellent. I had a beer and the gentlemen who poured it was very good at making sure the glass was clean and the pour technique was on point.

EVERYTHING IS PERFECT! The design is immaculate, I appreciate the balance between the moody interior and the ample daylighting provided. The coffee is so good. It has converted me from only drinking ice drinks to now being an avid hot latte, honey and oat milk gal. The staff is all gorgeous and little rays of sunshine, I truly appreciate how many outlets have been provided and the wide variety of seating options. I’m blown away and truly deeply love the common house.

Absolutely phenomenal! Everything about it! Best avocado toast I’ve ever had. I’m so glad Anderson has a coffee shop now that’s so good I don’t feel the need to drive to Greenville. Highly recommend!

Incredible. My favorite place in Anderson, hands down. I’ve been coming to the common house frequently since opening week, and have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is unreal. The staff are all extremely friendly and always make an effort to get to know the customers. The coffee is great and reasonably priced (try the dirty chai with oatmilk!), but the atmosphere and the people is what keeps me coming back. The Common House is exactly what Anderson has been needing.
