Food was delicious, but I was told (after I asked specifically) that I could order any salad and any sandwich for my combo..and then they brought me a generic salad and told me I couldn’t have the salad I ordered. Otherwise very good, service was super friendly

This is my favorite coffee shop in town; it’s such a treat to stop by and get a delicious iced caramel latte, or even just a hot coffee. All of their food is amazing; I’ve never had anything I didn’t love! They’re so reasonably priced too, and their loyalty drink card is so rewarding! <3 Staff has always been friendly and gracious; definitely one of my top favorite spots in town!!

We stopped for dessert and it was delicious. The gelato is very tasty and rich - great dessert choice! We also got some of the bars. The lemon bar was our favorite - very tasty and creamy with enough lemon flavor. The Dolly bar was sweet and a little crumbly crust but good flavor. The peanut butter bar is like eating a big Reese's Cup with less chocolate - same texture and great peanut flavor but sweet like the candy. I'm enjoying it but in quarters at one time. The mocha chocolate chunk cookie was our least favorite with a strong coffee flavor and too little chocolate chunk to balance it. You need to be a coffee lover for this dessert.

Let me preface this by saying I have been a constant patron of The Village Cafe over the last 6 months -- eating here or getting coffee > 3 times a week. We have brought three other families to this establishment over the last month alone because we have loved it so much. However, after our interaction with who I assume is the owner, we will not be returning anytime soon. Myself and two others arrived at the cafe this morning at 10:15 AM. At this time there were two other groups eating, but for the most part the restaurant was empty. We ordered coffee, breakfast, and shared a table to get some work done. Around 11:45 AM, the restaurant started to get a little busier, so we decided to wait for the line to shrink a little before we all three ordered lunch and a coffee. Shortly after we were approached by the owner who walked to our table and abruptly stated "so you think you can just sit here all day and not buy anything?" He accused us of being at the restaurant and I quote, "since 9 AM." We are unsure how he came to that conclusion, but to be accused of sitting at this table for hours without purchasing anything was quite rude. We believe this may be due to our age (late 20's), which is much younger than the typical clientele, however, we are very conscientious of making frequent purchases in places we plan on studying. Despite our age, we spend a lot of money at this restaurant and always tip generously. We saw him make no other similar comments to tables that had been seated for as long as us. If this is how you treat your regular customers, we will make sure we are no longer frequent flyers. Very disappointed.

It was my first time visiting. This place was so cute and the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed my Chai Tea Latte. I would have given the cafe five stars but the service I received was terrible. The man who helped me was quite rude and a bit sarcastic. I don’t think he should be working as the cashier. The young woman who made my drink was such a sweet heart. I feel bad that she has to work with him. Maybe it was a rough day for him.

Decided to check this place and I loved it. Very chic, clean, and relaxing the perfect getaway place. I love the design of the place and the aesthetics. I ordered the hot breakfast of the day which was a oatmeal bar with fresh toppings, with a side of bacon and a mocha. Everything was simply amazing.. I took the opportunity to eat outside in their gorgeous courtyard. The staff was amazing, this is a nice place to sit and relax, and enjoy amazing good. Highly recommended! I love this place will be coming back

Just had their special pretzel crusted chicken for dinner & it was delish. Portions were huge, we actually had leftovers, and heating instructions were very easy to follow. Pickup was super simple. Thanks for a terrific no-fuss meal.

Food was good before. Now the food is terrible and small for the money. Place is nicely done! Beautiful atmosphere and design.

My first visit here, I chose a half smoked salmon BLT sandwich with cup of tomato basil soup. Both were presented nicely, soup obviously prepared in house with a nice thick texture, delicious! The sandwich was beautiful to look at, tasted even better. I wish now, I had purchased a whole sandwich. The restaurant itself is a nice, cozy, cheerfully decoratedlocation that screams for small groups to come in and linger. There is a fireplace with what appears to be comfortable chairs to sit in.... Im already thinking of whom I will bring with me next time. There is a long list of local food sources this owner draws from which makes this even more desirable to patronize. This will definitely become a regular stop for me.

Have been here a few times now and everything is very good. Sandwiches are fresh and staff are friendly. I work in the Village and will be frequenting here often!
EDITED: they now have online ordering and pay which makes ordering for short lunch breaks super convienent and quick! Wish I could up it to 6 stars!
EDITED 3/11/21: it pains me to change my review bc i love the Village Cafe but the new staff in the morning are horrible. They can’t multitask, are rude, can’t make drinks, and are very flustered all the time even when they’re not busy. I gave them a few weeks to get acclimated but it seems they will never get the hang of it. I put in a pick up order this morning, got there 10 min later and then waited another 10 min for the lady to put a muffin in a bag. There were only 3 other people in the cafe at the time. This was the 3rd time in 3 weeks that I had horrible service.
