This place is amazing. An absolute must if you’re in the area. Get the secret menu item the “Sam Hyde” so extremely good it’s like a million dollars.

Providence and Rhode Island in general is a great city and state for coffee. Check out my coffee list. In a sea of amazing coffee places, Borealis is the crown jewel and pride of RI. I bring any visitors here after a short ride on the east bay bike path. By far everything on the menu here is top shelf A+ fantastic. The espresso blend bean is also the best I’ve put they in my Breville barista. Better than the likes of George Howell and Intelligensia.

I really like this place a lot, although today after many days of great service I got essentially yelled at by a grumpy woman working there. I don’t like bad attitude, and most certainly don’t like getting yelled at, I probably won’t be going back because of her really rude and unprofessional behavior.

Stopped in and ordered up a “Sam Hyde”. Very tasty drink that gave me the extra oompf I needed to work on my social media career. Would highly recommend!!!

The coffee is really good as well as the turkey sandwich, they had wonderful staff and great environment to get some work done.

I am not exaggerating when I say Borealis is the greatest thing about Rhode Island. Coffee is great, staff is great, and the shop/atmosphere is great.

Cozy, friendly coffee shop nestled along the East Bay path. Good quality coffee and pastries. Welcoming staff.

My brother-in-law whom I live with buys a bag of coffee beans each month from a top coffee shop in a different state. A few months prior to our family's travels to the Providence area it so happened he had ordered beans from Borealis, after identifying it as among the best shops in RI. Our final day in the area then, we ventured over to East Providence and order about a dozen total drinks from Borealis. It was a big hit and I found myself quite jealous of all the locals out biking or walking the trail running behind the shop, stopping in for a potty break and a caffeine hit. Great little shop, wish I could have spent more time sampling the food offerings and other drinks!

I met someone there for a business appointment this morning. Not my first time there and I was greatly surprised they have made some changes. The coffee is very good, however I do think it's a little overpriced ($7 for a mid-sized iced mocha late). I was pleased to see they have music playing and now serve food, which seemed to be reasonably priced. The workers are always extremely nice.
