A nice coffee shop, high quality coffee, some pastry and sandwiches are also available.

This was our go-to for coffee (espresso-based) in Old San Juan. They have top-of-the-line equipment (Slayer espresso machine). A dark roast was on tap during our stay, and it was everything you would hope for out of a dark roast espresso.

Had a sandwich and some coffee. Pretty sure they were playing dramatic video games theme music, 🤣

Hidden inside the museum of the Americas, this is a must if you like good coffee.

Great coffee shop. Coffee is a light roast and very tasty. All the food is amazing.

One of my favorite places to go for a delicious cup of coffee! If you're in OSJ skip starbucks and go here!!! Sooo worth it-

It's a little tough to find this cafe since it is situated inside a famous landmark called Cuartel de Ballajá, which is a giant squared structure originally constructed to be military barracks. Once you enter the square it's located in side the southeast corner with tables outside. Going in you see that there's a comfortable sitting area often used for arranging tours. Further back is where you order and where they also roast the coffee they sell whole or ground. We bought whole beans to bring home and two hazlenut ice coffees which were well made and the best mallorca with butter that I have tasted in PR. I suggest you get a mallorca, which is a sweet bread dusted with powdered sugar, with butter or ham and cheese as it is traditionally served. The cafe gets busy and our order got a little messed up before because of it, otherwise it was a great experience.

As previously stated by other reviews, lack of customer service. I walked in with my family and friends, total of eight. We stood there while three employees were behind the counter. Not one good morning or give us a minute please. The place is nice and good atmosphere but we almost left. A female worker showed up and asked if she can get us something and we decided to stay. All they need is a friendlier staff and the place would be a five star. Customer is NOT always right, but would be nice if you just felt welcomed. Would give it another shot if I returned to viejo San Juan. Food was good and reasonably priced.
