I don’t care if the coffee is good or not. The price is outrageous. Should have tasted it before I reviewed. You couldn’t pay me to drink this coffee again.
We're from out of town and this was the closest coffee shop to where we were staying. We very much enjoyed our specialty coffee drinks that I've never seen anywhere else. We love our beverages so much that we plan on returning again tomorrow. We would love to make this our go-to coffee shop if we lived in the area.
Just a great, quiet and relaxing place for great coffee drinks and awesome homemade baked goods and pastries (get there early or they'll be gone). Check out the Fb page for what they got going on. How good is it you may ask... drive 47 miles to patronize
Great coffee, brewed well and freshly roasted. Great food as well. The place is vibrant and spacious.
Really cool atmosphere! Love the vibe, and the coffee/latte art were great!
One of the best coffeeshops in the Richmond area. I'm here almost daily, and have never had anything less than a great experience!
Coffee, atmosphere, and customer service are great! If you are looking to come here to work there are only two outlets that I could see next to a seat so plan ahead and charge your device ;) This would be a cute spot for a coffee date on a nice day.
Espresso drinks are pretty hit or miss, and the drip is not good. Both are pricey for what you get. Awesome place to hang out, though. I think the wifi is time limited, so it’s only an awesome place to hang out for a little bit.
This is the kind of place that makes you want to pull out a laptop or book and stay a while. Though their offerings are standard coffee shop fare and didn't blow my mind, they're consistent every time I'm in. What makes this place special is the atmosphere and the service. I have yet to find a more relaxing, beautiful, and friendly coffee shop in Richmond.
This is honestly my new favorite coffee shop, the coffee isnt expensive and it's got a nice environment, it's quiet and the coffee is better than dunkin.
Hi there! To respond to the owners response, we ordered two lattes- I have no idea what a Turkish delight coffee is and it’s not what I ordered at all. If that’s what we got it’s certainly not what we asked for. Neither of us got matcha either so I have no clue what you’re talking about—you must be confusing us with other customers. Either way, $25 for two lattes and cake pops is still wild. Thanks for the snarky response though! I wish you well. Went to try this place out today and it was mediocre at best😬 $25 for two coffees and two cake pops is just kind of wild, especially if they’re not very good. I know lots of people love it, but our experience just wasn’t too good I suppose.
Great coffee but overpriced and only small cups, only two choices of milk, whole milk and macadamia - who drinks whole milk these days! Service is unnecessary slow and frustrating. This is my second time. My usual coffee is Riverbend cafe which is excellent but I thought I would try Ironclad once more but that’s it, back to Riverbend on East Broad.
The coffee and croissants are absolutely amazing!!! I would eat here every day if I could! Everything is made in-house, even the syrups!
OOOOOH okay okay I LOOOVED this coffee shop--it looks like it was once an old firehouse and it's been restored into a hip, swanky coffee house with gorgeous interior and comfortable seating. The vibe was so good here--the couch we found was so comfy and the jazz playing on the speaker was lovely. Employees were friendly and the coffee was delicious. Also plants were all over the shop, it was so beautiful. I really loved this place!!
A gem. Pure and simple. So quirky. So fun. Such high quality. Our favorite coffee in Richmond.
My daughter took me here and it was delightful!!! The coffee (we had cortados with macadamia milk and lavender) was perfect! The vegan quiche was incrediable!
Cool building, but seemed understaffed and barista technique was lacking. Our pastry was fine. The milk steaming was good, but the espresso shots were all left to die which was disappointing. Could be easily fixed.
Stopped by on our way home to grab some coffee and was drawn in by house cool this place looks! I usually go for an iced oat milk mocha but they had so many creative intriguing drinks. I ordered the brown butter chocolate chip cookie milk latte and it was amazing. It was yummy without loosing the flavor of coffee, wanna know how they got it to taste like a cookie! Will definitely stop by again on our way back up.
I love the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans, and this coffee shop has a great selection of coffees to choose from. The staff was also very hospitable, which is always a plus. And the music was a nice touch. I'm especially impressed with their signature drink . It's a difficult drink to get right, but it seemed like this coffee shop has mastered it. Will certainly stop by again when in Richmond!
The food. The decor. This was so delicious. Their breakfast biscuits are so amazing and delicious. The place wants to make you stay for as long as possible. Top place in this area for coffee and breakfast!!
