Came here for Sunday Brunch and there was lots of seating available, maybe 6 or 7 tables outside and plenty of seating inside as well. Got the avocado eggs Benedict, salmon toast, beignets, and a chai latte with oat milk. The avocado eggs Benedict had a great flavor but it was cold which was disappointing. The beignets and salmon toast were both excellent. Service sort of slow but mostly because it was crowded and there was a long line.
Must stop for Roast Beef Po Boy! Best Po Boy outside of New Orleans.! Keep a look out for Crawfish Boil events!!! Lunch time Friday’s is Shrimp Burguer day-What a treat!
Great food (enjoyed the cheddar bacon scone!) and coffee. Quick service and reasonable prices.
New Orleans vibe right here in Arlington! This place is really great - food, ambience, decor, drinks everything is reminiscent of New Orleans.
Great! Wonderful coffee! Delicious food. Friendly and helpful staff. Bravo!
Been going there for as long as they have been open, over 10 years. Over the years biscuits are slightly less crumbly, which is a good thing in my opinion, coffee has been the same, pairs nicely with anything in the bakery, which has grown in variety. I look forward to going there around 8am for egg biscuit with cheese, coffee and banyeas. This is the best “reset” anyone can ever hope for. I love this place and the owner David who has done the impossible which is to keep the consistency and quality absolutely the same since 2010. I take all my guests to Bayou first and then to Smithsonian
Great spot for your morning coffee and breakfast And of course lunch as well. I recommend their whole milk iced latte it's one of the best in the area.
Tried Bayou Bakery when hunting for a new and fresh quick breakfast spot and now this has become the go-to shop! Coffee, beignets and sandwiches did not miss!
Stopped in today after having this place saved for a while and got to speak with the owner/chef David, who was a great guy with fantastic food! My wife is from the New Orleans area, so we're familiar with the food. The beignets I had here were what I expected Cafe Du Monde's to be. These were delicious. She got the muffalata and loved it. I love roast beef, got the Arm Drip sandwich and it was soooo good. Their bread is also delicious. We also got iced coffees, which were good. My friend made his own breakfast biscuit sandwich that he said was really good and he can be quite picky. My wife got a hurricane, which was dangerous. We also tried praline cookies and their take on an Oreo (the Dat O) and they were really good. When the wife's family comes into town we'll be taking them here and stopping in more frequently for sure. Laissez Les bon temps rouler!
I am from south LA and I can tell you the food here is 100% Louisiana. My husband says the beignets are better than Cafe du Monde. The Muffalata was better than the ones I could get back home. Roast beef was delicious. Pralines are worth every bite. HIGHLY recommend. Will come back.
A very New Orleans themed bakery with yum beignet and great biscuits
It’s.. alright? The coffee was OK, the food was OK, the atmosphere, was OK. The staff weren’t the friendliest I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure if management makes it a bad place to work, but the employees seemed like they’d be happier almost anywhere else. The beignets were close to what you would get in New Orleans, so that was nice to see. They were definitely the most redeeming quality of this establishment. I don’t know if this restaurant has always just been “OK”, however with a few tweaks, I could recommend driving out of your way to come here. The way it is currently, don’t worry if you can’t make it here.
We were coming from the farmers market and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Bayou Bakery is right across the street which made it very convenient! Luckily we reached before it got too crowded, and we were able to order at the front and grab a table for 3 people. Seating is first come first serve. I ordered an iced honey bee latte which has honey, vanilla and orange zest. It was delicious! Very unique and sweet which I liked. For food I got the yogurt with their fresh granola and fruit. The granola was so good! It was a great meal and fun atmosphere.
SOOOO good. 10/10 had a breakfast sandwich and beignets which were amazing. My friend got gumbo which looked amazing. My husband god avocado toast and said it was too oily.
I didn't care much for this place. I found the menu hard to follow and not easy to navigate. I had the b&g Virginia style. It was good, not great. I was with a party of 4. They had breakfast sandwiches that looked much better. I found the seating to also be a challenge with signs on the tables for parties of 4 only. This must be an honor system because no one manages that. Also, there was no one attending the tables. It looked like you had to pick up after yourself. There is no one to clean the table tops once you get up. Our table was dirty. Also, there is no pepper on the tables. Made for a bad sit down from the beginning. Hopefully, your experience will be better than mine. It's not a place I recommend. Chef Gaus, Thank you for your response. While I did not reach out to anyone with our issues, I didn't see anyone to reach out to. This was my first visit here. Allot going on. Maybe I chose a bad day.
One of my favorite places in Arlington :) I adore their Muffaletta, delicious pastries, creative cocktails and helpful staff.
Absolutely loved the avocado Benedict it was absolutely delicious its something I do think I would have ever tried but it was fabulous if you ever go you absolutely need to try it 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I came up North to visit my Grandmother who has lived here now for some time and she highly recommended it. I can say as Southern Louisiana native that this place does it right. The food was delicious and, the beignets are superior to that of Café du Monde, it was also nice to drink some of my favorite Louisiana beer for breakfast. It was a nice taste of home while I am so far away. The staff was professional and friendly, it is a shame I am unable to eat here more often as I live so far away. Only downside is no UL Lafayette flag on the wall, Geaux Cajuns!
Bayou bakery is nothing short of spectacular! I came in alone in a super busy time at Saturday at 10:30am - best start to a weekend ever! It was a bit hard to find a seat when you first walk in but I guarantee a seat will open within 5 minutes whether you come alone or with multiple people. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the Cafe, and the employees where super friendly! Especially the lady working under the online order signage on the morning of March 11, 2023. I told her it was my first time and she gave great reccomendations! I will be coming back with friends as the beignet and dressed grits were something to write home about! I'm glad I didn't find this place any earlier as an arlington native because I surely would've spent all my money here! I wouldn't come back alone though because there were too many beignet for just me - but I will drag many my friends along and I'm sure they'll be happy to oblige :).
The hospitality is amazing, the food is great, and I loved everything about coming here- come give it a try!! Their beignets are literally chefs kiss.
