Disappointed with the worst matcha latte experience ever! It took nearly 10 minutes to make, only to get my order wrong. When I voiced my dissatisfaction, they didn’t offer to remake it. 😔☕️

The consistency in the quality is unmatched. I’ve brought many people here and everyone has been impressed. Which means they use good coffee, roast it correctly (at least to my taste), and train the baristas to brew quality drinks.

Excellent coffee…would go as far to say was the best I had whilst in DC and I tried a few! Also had the vegan spanakopita which was flaky, generously filled and tasty.

Loved this place. I had drip coffee. My daughter had a delicious matcha. We both had a ham and cheese croissant. Delish! Very cute decorations, local vibe. Highly recommend.

I feel that this a real community cafe shop, that goes there to hangout, meeting friends, work and study. The food and drinks are very well prepared, testable and presented. The staff are committed, friendly and welcome. This is a family place too.

Such a lovely place with great ambiance and good coffee. I'm relatively new to the area and haven't explored DC much. Very happy I decided to stop here. They had a few flavors I've never even heard of before. Will be back to try the others. I hade the lavender vanilla and I thoroughly enjoyed.

I used to come here every week when I lived in the area. Now, I live in MD but still coming back here whenever I'm in Crystal City. The iced craft mocha is very good as always. The area is clean and nice. Order for pickup to skip the line.

Sorry, zero stars to any company that refuses cash. Especially considering how many gift cards I bought from this place during Covid to keep the company alive.

Good space, nice decor, nice staff and good vibes. Bunch of beverage and bakery options available. Got an almond croissant and a hot matcha latte with a topping of vanilla rose cold foam. Both tasted good.

Really good lavender latte with warmed croissants. They have good choice of seasonal lattes. The decor makes it’s more aesthetic. The service is pretty quick too!

Had a really weird experience here with some old woman who came up to my friend and I and started insulting us based on our ethnicity and race.... but the coffee was great, so definitely a place to try for that. Not sure we'll come back though, just for safety reasons.

Great coffee. I first had their coffee at Landini Brothers with a desert. I took a few sips and knew I had to find their coffee shop. It’s an awesome shop a few blocks from the Pentagon. Super good coffee.

Bummer that they don’t serve pour over on the weekends. I got Potomac falls drip coffee and liked it so much that I got the whole beans too. Loved the ambiance as well.

Today was my first visit to Commonwealth Joe Coffee, it was an amazing experience. The Café decor was welcoming and comforting. The service provided by Baristas Terry and Summer were friendly, professional and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed a Medium Oat milk, Vanilla Latté!! The temperature was perfect on an overcast day. The Latte Art was beautiful, although I drank it before I could snap a photo of it. The vibe was relaxed and spacious by the window seating. It is a very convenient location.

Live in the neighborhood for a while and always see this place is busy. Finally I paid a visit and I got hazelnut latte. Turned out it becomes my new favorite coffee. Def will pay a visit again later. I came during Friday noon and it was busy, seating is limited, plenty people work on their laptops or have meetings with someone else. Service is great!

Great coffee and croissants! This little place is a gem and worth the visit. Less expensive than most coffee shops and better quality coffee. Highly recommend!

Cute lil coffee shop I tried on a whim. I got their seasonal gingerbread cold foam on top of an americano which was lovely and festive. There’s not a ton of seating, but it wasn’t too busy on a Saturday so wasn’t an issue.

Had a delicious nitro cold brew in store and bought a couple bags of coffee for home use. Both have been great. Monticello Sunrise is highly recommended.
