the staff here are very friendly, and the bathroom is clean. the cappuccinos are really good and i especially like the option for a free shot of espresso. i knocked down two stars because 1) the coffee tastes watery. at first i thought it was a fluke but then on another day it was the same thing. 2) the banana bread i bought wasn't all that tasty. i'm not looking for a sugar rush or anything like that. it just didn't wow me.

THE MOST UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND LAZY EMPLOYEE!!! The website said they had an herbal chai and gluten free pastries. It was around early Feb, maybe Feb 7. in the late morning or early afternoon. There was a female brunette staff member training a new female blonde. The blonde greeted me. I asked for the herbal chai. The brunette said they didn't have it anymore. I was bummed because that's why I took my time to drive there. I wanted her to know that the website still has it on the menu. She was obviously irritated by this and with an attitude said, "Well, we don't have it anymore." I didn't want my time to be completely wasted so I thought about getting a gluten free pastry. I have a medical condition, so I asked if they knew what the ingredients are. The brunette actually said to me, "I don't know, you have to DRIVE to the north location to find out." What an absurd response. A professional response would be, I don't know, let me call and find out, but to tell me I had to drive across town to find out? Your website even welcomes patrons to ask questions about the gluten free items. She embarrassed herself and your company. Because of her, I will never go there again, and will continue to tell people of the worse, most laughable customer service I've ever had in my entire life, unfortunately at your place of business because of this employee. I hope she doesn't represent how your company likes to treat people who want to spend thier precious time and hard earned money at your business.

I'm never disappointed at Mochas and Javas! The coffee has a much smoother taste than surrounding area coffee establishments, the pastries and food items are fresh and delicious, and the ambiance is the right amount of cozy. Always recommend to friends and family, and I try to stop as often as I can when I'm in the area.

Coffee is always amazing and always fast but I wish they had a bit better service, I don't think I've ever been greeted while walking in or up to the counter. They're not rude in any way just not welcoming

Good little strip mall coffee shop. I think the staff was tired, but service was good.

My bean and cheese taco was horrible. As a first timer in this shop, I have bee. To the one on LBJ, when I was looking to order the lady just stood looking at me. She was nice after I ordered. Coffee was not hot it was lukewarm. But the brisket croissant was delightful.

My go-to coffee shop in San Marcos for many years now. Family owned and awesome staff. Always friendly and helpful with the best coffee around. I've met people there that I still see enjoying the ambiance year after year.

Mochas and Javas has really great coffee, as well as providing it in large quantities for my ribbon-cutting and the set up with cups and creamer and sweeteners. I really enjoy the flavor of their coffee and recommend them for your individual cup or any event you have!
