Really great ice cream and it’s a toy and candy shop!
The soda jerks were super nice, the ice cream cone was fresh and made right in front of me, and the ice cream was amazing! Definitely worth the stop if you're within a half hour of Glen Rose!!
I came here for a shake on a family members recommendation and didn't like it. The young man tending to us was very kind, but the shakes that he and the other young lady made were terrible. They were so runny, that my son got shake all over his shoes. The young man also said the shake would taste like coffee and caramel. All I could taste was really sweet caramel and no coffee taste. It also had way too much artificial whipped cream in it and not enough ice cream. I thought it would be good because he said they use blue bell ice cream, but it was just a sweet mess. The only thing I did like was all the neat trinkets they had for purchase. If I come here again, it sure won't be for the shakes, unless they start making them with better quality.

Macy is the sweetest girl! She was so kind to our family, especially our daughter. I loved this little soda shop. Everything was very reasonably priced and it had that cute old time charm. They also sell lots of candy, knick knacks, etc. highly recommend going!

Great nostalgic atmosphere!! This place takes you back to your childhood & great new finds as well! They serve old-fashion ice cream floats, candies, and more to satisfy your sweet tooth! You can even find some gifts for all ages too! Customer service great! You gotta stop by if you come to Glen Rose! We're sure glad we did! Will be back! 10/10!
Awesome ice cream shop that has sandwhiches, salads and in house made sweets. Sodas are hand stirred. They have a store with old novelty items, toys and items to gift. Very friendly staff.

Perfect frito pie. A homemade cone that is so yummy you will want it by itself ! When my sons nuggets came i was ready for him to be picky and refuse to eat them ...but he ended up eating it all!! That was worth it all.
We just loved this place! Since we opened the door, until we leave! The sweets, the candies, the store, the old fashioned ice cream parlor, everything! We first walked around to see everything they have; we just stopped there to get an ice cream before heading back home after a nice weekend visiting Glen Rose, but we ended buying some truffles, a couple of jams, and of course the ice cream and a delicious shake! The best was the service we received from the sweet and kind lady who took our order, she spoke in Spanish to us, which we appreciated it so much, but she was so nice to everyone! We definitely are coming back there next time!

Awesome old fashioned soda shop! Just today, they made me a Strawberries and Cream Dr. Pepper at the soda fountain! It was amazing! Their homemade waffle cones are wonderful. Gift shop with a Glen Rose flavor with great unique gifts, even a boutique!
It's retro themed in a good portion of the shop. I say shop, because other than ice cream and Italian soda's, they sell loads of candy types, with a mishmash of kid friendly stuff, a guy's section, a home decor kinda section, and a women's kinda section with clothes, bags, journals, etc. Merchandise: A lot of the stuff is pretty cute, if overpriced for the average consumer. They stock journals with fabric attached covers that I've fallen in love with, as the pages are unlined and bound by the cover. The actual retailer that they came from actually price their products way higher than this Soda Shop does. You will need a liquid gel kinda pen to be able to write smoothly in these journals though, not an issue for me. Food/Beverage: I typically just got vanilla flavoring mixed with coke flavoring for my soda order. Really good prices too. A heads up though: specify the ratio you want for the syrups, especially if a sweet syrup like vanilla is in your order. It can end up very sweet otherwise, which some people might love. I've gotten a perfect 'Vanilla Coke' from here. I have family that adores their shakes, even if I personally can't offer input on that. Overall, coming here to check out it out it definitely worth it!!
We stopped by before going to the State Park. We sat at the counter close to where they make the waffle cones. It was lunch and a show! They make the cones fresh and while we waited on our lunch, they gave us one that didn't seal well so we could try it. It was very good. I ordered the Rockin' Robin. It is a very well made Reuben served with chips and a pickle. My wife ordered the Dean Martin. It is a grilled cheese with Colby jack, provolone, swiss American, pepper jack and bacon. It was so good. We were too full to try the Ice Cream but it all looks great! If you are in the area please stop by and give it a try!
This place is an absolute must to go to, this place is one of the coolest places in Glenrose (my opinion) their ice cream is absolutely amazing, and it was very enjoyable to sit there and watch them make it and eat it..
