We were 5 minutes late to our reservation and had to wait 30 minutes before being seated, the bathroom had no toilet paper and a mess in the first stall, then waited an hour for food and had to ask for our bread while others had their appetizers. The waiter did not even try to do his job and my boyfriend had to go to the bar to get his attention to pay so we could finally leave. Bad management and terrible service especially for what you pay for. Meatballs were the highlight and they were definitely frozen. Very disappointed.

Had an awesome breakfast at this place. While the food was great, the service, especially Kyle, was fantastic.👍👍

Zero consistency, aside from gummy pasta. First visit a few months ago was fantastic, I live/work/play in the heart of the Fort and I thought I found my place. I went back multiple times for brunch, lunch, and dinner. I brought friends, family, and coworkers. Everyone had the same opinion. Overpriced for the lack of quality. I’d rather wait for the new Italian place around the corner. Would not recommend again.

We were excited to try il Modo for a birthday dinner. When we arrived we waited at the hostess stand for quite a while before someone asked if we had been helped. We were finally seated and again had to wait a while before someone came by and poured water and took drink orders. Drinks took a long time to arrive. We were finally able to order. I will say dinner arrived fairly quickly. I ordered the agnolotti and it was pretty good, although the pasta could be warmer. My husband ordered the linguine with clams. His noodles were lukewarm and after eating about half he spit out a rock or part of a shell. He also said the clams tasted gritty. We had been done eating for a long time before anyone checked on us. We told the waitress, who was very kind and did apologize. But she also said “that happens sometimes with clams”. She brought the bill and a manager came by asking about the meal. My husband told him about his meal and the service and said we wanted to pay and leave. The bill came back and nothing else was said to us about our meal or how they could make it right. I don’t think we will be recommending to friends.

Started out being seated in a room where it looked like they were rolling silverware in large industrial plastic trays right next to our table. Ok, odd, but doable. Ordered 3 appetizers. Meatballs excellent. Octopus bland and sparse. Fried calamari was sparse and appeared it could have been out of a frozen bag. Service was bad. Wait staff didn't bring utensils to serve apps or sides. Nowhere to be found for a salt shaker after food delivery. Lobster risotto. I hope you like risotto bc there were 2 microscopic pieces of lobster. Terrible dish. Left hungry after eating. Brussel sprouts side drenched in oil and just gross. Wife did like her salmon dish but it was a very small portion. Kids menu was great. I had to eat what was left of my kids spaghetti so I wasn't starving. All of this with a $285 bill including tip for 4 people (2 kids) and no dessert. Probably the most regretful dinner I've ever had. Hard pass.

Sub-par food, and very inexperienced staff. In need of training and guidance on the appropriate level of attentiveness- serious conversations at the table we’re constantly interrupted in an unprofessional manner.

We went on a Wednesday evening and it is advisable to get a reservation. Before I even get to the food, I must brag on the waitstaff who were attentive and never very far away, especially Jesse he was awesome and the manager Aaron spoke with us several times, inquiring if we needed anything. Great lively intimate atmosphere: the main restaurant is on the small side, however they do offer private rooms. I started with the Co-pilot cocktail which was as smooth as could be with the Honeydew bourbon. For an appetizer we went with the steak tartare and I have to say it was most likely the most flavorful I have ever had the pleasure of tasting! Truly impressed. For my entrée I chose pappardelle with rabbit and was astounded by the preparation of the meat. It wasn't gamey in the least as rabbit tends to be. The noodles were the perfect consistency and the sauce! fuhgettaboutit My girlfriend had the Rigatoni and the basil was sublime I sopped it up with the house bread, soo good To top it off, since it was my birthday Jesse brought us 2 Cannoli with perfect flaky crusts. AND they comped us our first round at the rooftop bar Refinery 714 which amazing views and great live music. I enjoyed an off menu pecan old fashioned and a spot on Texas 75. I unfortunately cannot recall the bartenders' name, but she has some skills. This place is great for a date night and is directly on par with the other higher end restaurants in the area, highly recommend

Celebrated our wedding here. The food was absolutely fantastic. The flavors were extraordinary. Our waitress was very attentive. As a party of 9 we never felt rushed and fully enjoyed the evening.

This is pretty good! Very classy restaurant, reminded me of farm to table fine dining. I also really loved the ambiance, the chairs were extremely comfortable, which, I don’t think people truly realize how important that is when you go out to eat 😄 I enjoyed the drinks and the bread. They were also able to make my dish with an additional protein they were offering that night in another dish, so I was happy about that. Only thing I would add to their menu is salad. And not the one that you have to cut with a knife and fork, just a regular chopped salad. But big ups to Chef in the back, I saw him working hard and doing his thing!! ✊🏽 There is a price tag here, but, I believe it is worth it, and I would definitely come back!

First time dining at iL MODO. Cute low lighting restaurant inside of the Kimpton hotel. We ordered a variety of things to try and eat family style. Patrick was very helpful when it came to explaining and assisting us in choosing out Wine, starters and entrees. Pork belly was crispy and delicious. The red every sauce with small pieces of cherry was one of my favorite things as well as the truffle polenta. Salmon was delicious but the scallops were extremely over done. I believe they were bay scallops which can easily over cook. But over all servers was great and food was impressionable.

One of the best places we have had dinner! We celebrated Valentine’s day early and while we didn’t order from the Valentine’s day menu (just because of preference for food that night) everything was still phenomenal! From our server Lexi being the sweetest and having great energy, to the appetizers, entrees and dessert, everything was amazing. Will definitely be back. The pasta room is a great photo opportunity as well!

Unfortunately I’m having to edit my review. The pasta I requested came out wrong but I didn’t want to send my dish back. My wife’s Bucatini dish came with bacon that was majorly fat (we’ve had this at least 3 times and this one was different) so she ended up placing most of it on my dish. When we finished dinner, we went up to the 24th floor bar for happy hour. I asked for the Lilac gin based drink from the menu for a $2 off cocktail. The bartender recommended a different gin drink and I said ok sure. I was charged full price for my drink and she said well if you had ordered from the menu… Anyway, it was just very annoying and not quite the experience we were expecting for our 8 year anniversary. I mentioned it was our anniversary for the reservation and they said nothing about it when we got there to the restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere and food. The Rigatoni and Tiramisu are simply outstanding. If I lived in the area this would be monthly go to!

Meatballs were a bit dry and dense and even though the sauce says "spicy" there wasn't any heat detectable. Bucatini was nicely cooked but again the sauce and and guanciale weren't anything to write home about. Bartender was nice and attentive.

I had the astounding misstep of requesting 12 shellfish. Be cautioned: Begin with 6! They are immense and flavorful. The crab cake burger was so brimming with astounding flavors and the chips shut each and every spot down. The cocktail had a magnificent kick yet not excessively so #Perfect So you all again next date day.
