Delicious, fresh food. Cozy atmosphere and great service. I’ve been coming here for years. I can’t resist taking a pretzel or dessert to-go.

Neat little vegan friendly bakery with staff that are friendly and professional. The bakery has full meals, juices, tea, coffee, and fresh baked goods. Also, local artisan items at great prices. Highly recommend popping by!

Excellent service. The food and the drinks were so yummy, but kind service always makes everything better. Definitely try the affogato with their dark chocolate ice cream if you're a coffee lover 😍

I love their gluten free peanut butter chocolate chip cookies! Delicious! My fiancé enjoyed the snikerdoodle. Every time I go, I am happily surpised by their variety of cookies and how scrumptious they are. Also, they have icecream, sorbet, and coffee. I am gluten and dairy free, and I'm glad there's a place I can go to enjoy a tasty dessert. Also, their location is adorable! I prefer sitting on the outdoor deck, but their indoor area is cozy. The staff are friendly, too. I recommend trying this place.

Great coffee, baked goods, & brunch/lunch items. I recommend the avo toast with soup. (I believe the recent soup du jour was something like African peanut-style red soup. Whatever it was, it was amazing.)

Referred and NO REGRETS. Vegan & GlutenFree friendly. So many options to choose from. Super friendly place, no doubt it’s super cute and all kinds of souvenirs, jewelry, paintings etc. The owner(Chris) was very nice and understanding, & related to my diet options, he helped me decide since it’s NOT easy, ~NOT~ BEING PICKY. 😜 Thank you Tough Cookie Bakery!

What a Bastrop treasure this place is! A place worth finding if you are a visitor, a place worth supporting if you are a local. Whatever you DON'T like about St**b*cks, you will love about Tough Cookie. Hand made everything garnished with local warmth and character. Delicious coffee, (from a proper espresso machine) , quality baked goods, and vegetarian lunches in a rustic old schoolhouse building. Take the time to sit and chat with the locals or get some work done. Tough Cookie isn't just a bakery, it's an experience.

I am addicted to the sugar cookies here! They have so many options for goodies that include but not limited to gluten free and vegan. Great food and even better employees. They make you feel at home with welcoming and friendly vibes. 10 out of 10!

Cozy little coffee shop and bakery tucked into the historic district of Bastrop. Lots of seating inside, a bit out on their patio - but take it to-go and walk down to the river! A 2-minute walk from this spot. If you follow my reviews, you know I'm on a tea kick and not coffee right now. They use HEB organics for their hot tea selection. A lot of various pastries to choose from - cookies, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, etc. The ginger molasses cookie was awesome! Room for improvement on their chocolate chip cookie though. They also have sandwiches and other food but I didn't try that. The people working there are so kind and welcoming. Definitely a spot to check out! I'll be back for those cinnamon rolls!

Thank you for providing fun vegatarian/vegan options that are not cheese or iceberg lettuce! Their cookies are the best I’ve ever had. I love the BLT and African soup as well. I am excited to try more on their menu.
