I had the croissant ham and cheese although it's very simple ingredients but it is the best croissant that I had
We came across the Bearded Baking Company at the Pecan Street Festival downtown, tried their cookies and wanted to sign on the dotted line immediately for our wedding. Wes is such a talented baker, it's not even funny! Everything he makes is delicious. We ended up doing a dessert bar of a bunch of different goodies rather than passing out cake. Wes was willing to create desserts just for us based on our own likes!! We had strawberry cheesecake truffles, carrot cake truffles, their infamous chocolate chip cookies, their infamous white chocolate funfetti cookies, and mini lemon bundt cakes. I never got to try the carrot cake truffles, but I'm sure they were absolutely to die for like everything else!! Sooooo good - I literally would buy their goodies for every event possible. We also had Wes to do our two-tier wedding cake. We had a chocolate base layer with vanilla buttercream and on top he created a custom tiered cookie cake. Unfortunately, someone seemingly stole our cookie cake layer in a flash, so no one ever ate it (lol) but if it's made by Wes, I'm sure it could be award winning. We also loved using someone local to Austin, and now can't wait to visit their newest location in Bastrop!
Cannot rave enough about the sweet treats & how kind the staff is. Very excited to have such a wonderful spot in town with options for nearly everyone. The chocolate chip cookie is by far one of the best I've had!
Biscuits and gravy... Delicious... Cookies ... Delicious... brownies... Delicious... My waistline not so much but worth it
Honestly the best chocolate cookie I’ve ever bought. Also excellent and sampled: pistachio croissant and two types of brownies. Go to this place and enjoy deliciousness!!
This place is delicious and the owners are so kind! I first visited when they were located in Austin and we drove out to Bastrop just to get their banana pudding. Come for the food but stay for the welcoming hospitality.
I had their croissant with ham and cheese. It was nothing super special. I'm going to Mark this as 3 stars until I can try something else.
Wandered in walking downtown Bastrop yesterday during their soft opening phase and ordered the bourbon pie slice. YUM. The owner was super friendly and gave us some coffee and biscuits on the house since they were closing up. Ate the biscuits the next morning for breakfast and they were delicious. Wasn’t a fan of the wine jelly that came with them, but that’s just my preference. The decor and offerings are a nice blend of their NC roots mixed with local Texas goods. Can’t wait to try the entrees once they are ready.
The blondie is a must! The chocolate chip cookie is filled to max capacity on chocolate chips! We went on there soft opening and ordered one of each and everything was delicious! The picture is of the chocolate pecan cookie using local pecan moonshine I believe, we devoured the others before we thought to take pictures. Can’t wait to see the full menu and set up!
We had one of every dessert they were offering on their first day open. It was truly outstanding. These guys are experts in their craft! The blondie was the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth! We ate everything too fast for pics.
They got their brick & mortar spot. Epic bakery. Looks like Bastrop is stealing great Austin innovation
Delicious, friendly, and fun! The baked goods are unbelievable
Great service and fun atmosphere. The ham and cheese was sooo good! Definitely coming back!
I have never been to a co-working kitchen and it was so cool! Everyone was very warm and inviting. The cookie that we got was straight out of the oven. THE BEST GRITS I HAVE EVR HAD… you have to get them if they are available. One of the highlights of my first trip to Austin for sure🤩
These cookies are amazingly MILKPROOF. If you love fine artisan beard-crafted baked goods like I do, and also think milk soaking into a great cookie is blasphemy, these are the cookies for you. You can accidentally drop a chunk of cookie in the milk and finish the whole glass thirty minutes later and have a nice hard, essentially dry cookie chunk waiting for you at the bottom. This guy is the Walter White of cookie chemistry, I have no idea how this is possible.
This is NOT a food truck like the Google images would make you believe. It's a spot in a ghost kitchen and their menu isn't what's reflected online.
Simply amazing. They’re a ghost kitchen right now, but if you can, I highly recommend stopping by the community area and ordering your breakfast on their website. For 2/3 people, we had our order out in 15-20 minutes, and it continues to be the best breakfast I’ve ever had in the Austin area!!! The sausage bacon gravy and biscuits are to die for, the ham they use is to die for (and I hate ham, by the way), and their cookies!!! These folks are doing it, and they’re doing it right!! Give them your business!!!
Just received our Campfire Cookies Oh My GOD they are Awesome we saw Wesley on Halloween Baking Championship from Last year just the other day and we found his company online and had to try his product out So Glad we did I'm Hoping I can order the Bluebells next just couldn't find them on the order guide If you Love Great baked foods go with The Bearded Baking Company you WILL NOT be Dissapointed
We've only had a small taste of what comes out of the kitchen and we enjoyed every bite. As travelers we never know where our bellies will lead us but here in the Austin area we've struct paydirt two times.... First: "JewBoy Burgers" Second: "Bearded Baking Co." We don't know what else this city has hidden in plan sight but we hope that we find it.
We had an office event that The Bearded Baker catered lunch and custom cookies. All of it was excellent and everyone loved our custom cookies!
