I was in town for the Wildflower trail runs and I happened on this place. The food was incredible! The coffee was great! And the service was so homey and comforting! Thank you for such a great experience I will definitely be back.

Great place to stop for a latte or a banana nut bread. Waaaaay better than Starbucks and cheaper too!

Idk what’s better, the coffee or marketing logos. 10/10. Can’t wait for the expansion.

Excellent coffee that is roasted in-house, good homemade pastries, friendly staff, and great place to plug in and get some work done all combine to make this worth the drive out east of town. I've tried everywhere else in Bastrop, and this is the best by far. Also, did I say the coffee is excellent? I've been a Starbucks junkie because it's the only place I can find that gets the coffee/sweetness balance right for their recipes without having to change everything. But, I like spending at local places, so I searched around and finally found this place. Their iced latte for the month of April was balanced perfectly. They're also planning on expanding the space, so it's going to be even better for meeting and gathering and working. Go check them out! 👍👍👍👍👍

Absolutely hands down my favorite place on the wayside to Houston. This place makes their own handmade baked goods, fresh and freshly being made all morning long. Bagels, muffins, unique cookies, amazing!!! Their coffee is their own, absolutely beautifully roasted with their own unique blends full of flavor. The barista/owner made a crafted mocha with raspberry and hazelnut, absolutely delicious!! The ambiance and atmosphere is refreshing, cool and beautiful. If I could come here every day, absolutely would. Go visit NOW!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜

Oh my! Checking out this shop as a rest stop for 50 mile gravel ride. Good coffee, seed and nut trail bar (handmade), nice restrooms, and best of all, other options for good nutrition for cyclists. Attractive space and good customer service. Well done Texas Coffee Works.

Service with a smile. It's nice to be able to have a chat while waiting for your coffee to be made. It also helps that the coffee is amazing.

I cannot stop thinking about this coffee! We stumbled upon TX Coffee Works after accidentally passing the Starbucks up on a road trip. My goodness, I am glad we gave this place a shot. It far surpassed my expectations. This iced coffee was total perfection. Just the right amount of sweetness and milk. WOW! Freshly roasted beans in store, amazing service, and cool stickers. We will now be making this stop each time we are in their area. Bravo to the Baristas, We LOVED it!!!

What a cute coffee shop! NPS/National Forest Service themed interior is AMAZING! Limited seating right now, not ideal for working remotely, but they're expanding their shop. Will be returning :)

Updated Review: Now open on weekends! Coffee is still amazing but the black tea is my go to as they brew it strong! They’re expanding and I couldn’t be happier knowing baked goods are coming! A much needed little coffee shop on the way to Smithville. I can’t wait for them to be open on weekends so I can make this my stop on the way to mountain bike RHR and Buescher. Good merch, good staff, good coffee.

Awesome awesome place. Wonderful staff who are very knowledgeable and the lattes we got were simply perfect. Their 2 lb bags are so worth the price point and I love that they sell in quantities larger than the usual 1 lb bags you usually see at roastaries. Jess was very nice and more than willing to teach us about their practices. 10/10 recommend.

10/10 across the board! Coffee was wonderful, the red eye muffin was incredibly moist and delicious, and the bagels….THE BAGELS forget about it! The closest thing I’ve had to a NY/NJ bagel since I’ve been in Texas. It makes my cold north east heart all warm and fuzzy inside!
