I used Apple Maps to drive here before work... it's says they open at 7 a.m. I was a little later than I wanted to be, but I was hoping the food and coffee would be worth it. I walked in and they told me that they don't open until 7:30. This time posted on both Google and Apple maps are incorrect. Making this review so others know.
Great coffee. Got a expresso shot and it had amazing notes of flavor. Ended up buying a bag to bring home.
Coffee is good but overpriced
Still a bit bitter (pun intended) that the premium coffee shop space in Memphis went to a shop with very over-roasted dark coffees with very little menu offerings for those who prefer specialty.
Excellent fish tacos
I would share a picture of this grand biscuit, but it’s already quickly down the hatch
Yesssss! All I would say is yessss if you are considering checking out this coffee shop. The French truck coffee offers some amazing coffee! My first visit to the cafe, I was not sure what to get. One of the team members advised me on her favorite being Snickerdoodle Latte. I tried it and I was sold. Definitely will be returning soon. 🥰 Atmoshphere is relaxing with some comfortable couches and seats. You also have the leisure of sitting anywhere in crosstown concourse or checking out the art section of crosstown. Also check out the Memphis listening lab. P.S. Definitely check out the snickerdoodle latte this Christmas season.
I visit every time I’m in Memphis. I Love this coffee! But wish they were nicer at the counter. The guy there is always so mean, never smiles and makes me feel like I shouldn’t be talking to him… so weird. But I don’t care because I love that coffee and fig toast!!!
They seem to lean toward third wave coffee with much lighter roasts than I would expect from a place called "French Truck." The dark roast is almost medium and the medium roast is almost light. The coffee is not as strong as I prefer but the beans must be good because the flavor profiles of the beans' origins really shine and I have enjoyed many cups of coffee while relaxing in the concourse. I haven't tried their au lait, which is hard to mess up if you use the New Orleans chicory blend as they say they do. My biggest grip is that they use a light roast for espresso—not very French at all. As a matter of fact, I can't stand this light roast espresso trend. Terribly sour a that level of concentration. Blonde espresso is an abomination. So, decent coffee. But not a traditional European espresso if that's something you're looking for.
One of the best coffee spots in Memphis. I recommend you try the smoked salmon toast.
Chai is very good. Baristas are always super cool. I wish this were more like a traditional coffee shop where you could hang out and do work. I’d be here all the time.
Three times I’ve ordered from here, and all 3 my drinks tasted extremely watered down. Not worth the $$.
Best coffee at Crosstown!
Hot Diggity Dayum! Their Caramel Mocha is 🔥🔥🔥 I will return!!
Nice friendly place wonderful people great coffee
This place is a star in the Concorse. Always great!
The best coffee around and super friendly staff. They occasionally have vegan baked goods but are unreliable and not offered daily. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.
So glad to share a review of French truck coffee because I was just saying I think this might be the best coffee I've had outside of Jamaica.
The iced coffee is decent. Kinda burnt. But on a good day it’s decent. My only issue is the fact they use chick fil a ice in the coffee, making mixing creamer and sugar an awkward task. Also there’s about 2 oz of iced coffee mixed in 8-10 oz of chick fil a ice. Chick fil a ice
Great coffee with world-class people watching.
