Jamming on some work while sipping hot black coffee... Medium roast, please! Place was rocking. FANTASTIC people watching. Check out what was parked outside in the pic.
Way more than a coffee shop, try the breakfast burrito. It will for sure fill you up
An unexpected treasure in downtown Crossville! Friendly staff, great food, cozy atmosphere.
Very awesome place for breakfast. This was there breakfast special. Great food, great service, great price. No I didn't finish it. The pancakes were huge, dinner plate size!
Amazing staff. The choices for coffee flavors is outstanding. I enjoy getting pumps of lavender and cheesecake in my iced coffee.
The place was charming and enjoyable. I had the avocado toast (8.50)which was good but pricey considering the size quality of toppings and the fruit side was a very small amount of just grapes. The reason for 3 stars was the steep upcharge (1.60!) for having a dairy allergy or avoiding animal abuse products. I understand plant based milks can be more expensive, but not that much more, especially for the amount of milk in a latte.
Excellent coffee and food, really nice people, lovely environment
After opening my new office a couple blocks away Grinders seems to be where I spend the majority of my sparse free time lately. After the lunch rush is a good time to pop in & relax away from the work press for a few minutes. It’s quiet then so I sip black coffee thinking about what’s next. All while looking out the windows at the new Tennesseans driving along Main Street heading to their just built bardominiums & tiny homes. That perfectly roasted medium drip provides the perfect recharge. It’s a good thing.
Just picked up a take out for avocado toast and eggs benedict. I should have thrown money in the toilet because this food ended up in the garbage. The avocado were fresh but the bread not toasted and it was soggy. The egg was overcooked and brown like the pan was not clean. Now the eggs benedict is not any kind of eggs benedict. It should be called just a sausage patty with spicy gravy on a biscuit and a burnt fried egg. That is what it was. The word benedict should not be used in this description at all. Will never eat here again.
Good, fast service, friendly staff, very good food. I highly recommend the breakfast burritos and various specialty coffees.
We went here for breakfast and got the Grilled Breakfast Panini and the Plateau Breakfast Wrap. We also got an Americano and Vanilla Latte. Both the coffee drinks and the breakfast meals were absolutely delicious! Next time we come through, we are definitely stopping here again!
This is the most amazing combination of coffee shop, restaurant, and bar. The atmosphere is cozy library mixed with retro bar. Your eyes are constantly taking in everything around you. It's absolutely beautiful. I ordered a Chia Tea Latte with the wonderful ladies behind the counter. They made me feel at ease with their quips and kindness. The drink was even better. One of the best Chia's by far.
A very cute coffee house that serves breakfast/lunch. Delicious cakes!
Got a $13 Monte Cristo. So much powdered sugar on top, I couldn’t see the sandwich. Managed to scrape off 95% of it but everything on the plate tasted like powdered sugar. Got what I thought was ketchup in a little cup, but after dipping my sandwich and potatoes in it, I realized it was jelly. Gross. They really need to be more specific about what the food comes like/with. Two sandwiches with built-in sides of chips or potatoes and two plastic soda bottles was $32.00. Crossville-grade food at Chicago-grade prices.
Left instantly as we were standing there to order and watched the cook put his gloved fingers in his mouth and handle food.
Service was phenomenal! Atmosphere- warm and welcoming! Definitely busy during lunchtime, but their service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and they handled my complicated order with positive professionalism. (I asked if I could get french toast to go, but made in thirty minutes. The kitchen was already busy with a large order before me, yet they managed to make it right on time with no issues!) Great place for coffee, food, catching up with friends or getting work done. Definitely a highlight of Crossville!
This is a great place to chill out and relax with your favorite caffeinated beverage or to grab a great breakfast or lunch too! Check them out, you won' t be disappointed.
I absolutely love The Grinder House! The atmosphere is so welcoming and the food and drinks are always so fresh and hot to order 😋.
Great little place for lunch, the Alfredo flat bread was great & the service was wonderful. We will be back one Saturday night to check out the live music 🎶
