Our breakfast food was excellent. Staff very pleasant. There was a long wait for our food. One thing I really disliked was the finish on the tables; it was sticky and everything from plates to glasses to arms stuck to the table which I found to be very nasty.

Sandwiches are amazing! Turkey Panini with salad- balsamic dressing is my favorite

My hopes were high that I would find good local-made food here, but I was disappointed. The burger: The dry, pre-formed frozen patty ruined it for me. Nicely toasted potato bun and fresh veggies were right on. Consider offering cheese, bacon, or avocado add-ons. French Fries: They actually served me country fried potatoes instead of french fries, which I would have been OK with, but they were undercooked and underseasoned. Bland. The only way to make it through the meal was a lot of ketchup.

We love cottonwood. It's very kid friendly. Our daughter is a fan of the pancakes. Everything on the menu is great. The coffee is exceptional.

Food took an hour to arrive and none of it at the same time. Food kept coming out one dish at a time for a party of 5. Person who ordered first didn’t get their food until last. Fries were raw and not cooked all the way through.

One of the gems in Brookings! A quiet place to drink coffee & read or to hangout with friends & family.

I got a turkey panini and a turkey wrap and they were both really good, but I felt like they could’ve had just a little bit more meat. Otherwise the food was really good, good comfort food or casual easy lunch.

I love cottonwood. It's a local gem! The food is fresh and delicious 😊 it may take some time to get your food so plan to stay a little while. Nothing wrong with slowing down a little to enjoy lunch.

I went with the old standby, 2 eggs, bacon and toast, but there are some great looking items on the menu. Particularly, the baked oatmeal. Next time. Service is friendly and efficient. Kudos.

8/17/22. Staff was cold and seemed bothered by simple questions. Was not cordial or inviting at all. Dropped my food in front of me and walked away without saying a word. My food and coffee were tasty, but my friend didn't even drink her coffee because it was subpar. Turned off lights at the counter 30 minutes before listed closing time. Then 20 minutes before closing, one of the staff members approached our table and rudely told us we needed to leave and that they had turned off the open sign (which we could not see from inside the restaurant) 20 minutes ago. We stated we thought they closed at 5, but she shot back that they were closing early that day. There was no signage posted in the restaurant or on the front door notifying of this closing time change. I’ve never been treated so rudely as a patron of a restaurant before. My friend sent an email to the GM detailing our experience and asking for a call or email back, but it’s been a week and no one has reached out. Extremely disappointed by this encounter. I will not be returning and will be telling this story far and wide.
