Stylish interior and good music playing. Coffee was under temperature for my taste but the egg whites were delicious. Service was fine.
This coffee shop was very busy on Friday morning at 9:30 on memorial day weekend. The coffee was good and wifi was great considering how many people were using it. 67mb down and 12mb up. People were guarding the extra seats at their tables while working on their laptops. I wish people would have shared their space a little more other people who are trying to work too.
Really great iced lattes. Hands down one of the best pulled espressos in Charleston
Update to reply: I don't consider choice of sweetener "small detail" when your primary product is $5 coffee. What Coffee shop doesn't have Splenda? This one. Only Stevia, yuk. I find it has an aftertaste. Ruined my skinny latte. I gave them 5 stars for the Breakfast Bowl with an over easy egg and delicious, generous lox toast. Lots of crunchy salty capers. If the lack of Splenda is a cost cutting measure, I'd rather have less capers and a packet of Splenda. 4.8 Stars.
Openness creates a lot of echo. This is not a good place to have conversation due to the noise level. Latte is okay.
I can't say if this is the best latte in town but it's the best I've tasted. Had to get a second, wifey stole mine. Great snacks too.
Coffee is excellent and the baristas actually know what they're doing. That is an unusual trait now days.
The Huevos Rancheros was delicious! The service is equally good. There was a misunderstanding with my order and the staff not only replaced it, they also offered to give a refund. The lavender latte tasted nice too.
Robotic customer service that was beyond rude. Sad experience.
not a fan. wifi did not work, scone was dry and coffee was not great…
The cold brew is SERIOUS here…. I didn’t get anything special. Cold brew with half and half, but it’s the strongest cold brew I’ve had. Really recommend if you like strong, dark blends. Can’t say anything about their food or other drinks, but the atmosphere is nice.
Solid cafe serving inconsistent standards. Can get 'VERY slow' during their rush hour, but still a decent cuppa. ANYTHING baked is delicious by the way ';-)
Still some of the best coffee in the Mount Pleasant area. A must stop for me when I'm in town.
Such a relaxing place! My favorite place if I want to relax and linger over a cup of coffee. Excellent coffee and food and the staff are really so friendly and make you feel like you belong there.
They may be Second State, but in my opinion they are third rate. I have been there three times, and so far nothing I have been served is even average in quality, and the service borders on hostile - and it's not like they're too busy to be polite. I've never been in any sort of line there. There are so many better places in Mt. Pleasant; no need to waste time or money here. --unless you're just desperate.
Great coffee and cool atmosphere. It's the perfect place to bring a laptop and get some work done
Some of the best coffee and muffins we have ever had
Love this place but the guest Wi-Fi hasn't worked here for months. Only their private Wi-Fi works. Update months later: still no guest Wi-Fi Update many months later: Finally Wi-Fi has returned! Changing my review to 5 stars!
Therr are not many good quality coffee shops in Charleston, but this is one of them.
Best vanilla latte and good breakfast bites and baked goods
