Solid go-to for a local coffee spot. I prefer local coffee spots over chain branches (starbucs, dunkin doughnuts ect). Plus great environment and friendly staff.

Always friendly service, great coffee, and delicious quiche. A great local spot to meet up with friends or enjoy some alone time.

The atmosphere at Tidal Grounds makes it my favorite place to study. I always get an iced latte and I have been trying all the different flavors. So far Butter Beer is my favorite and I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something sweet. I will be back soon!

Mount Pleasant has a variety of local coffee shops, but one that stands out is Tidal Grounds Coffee. This cozy spot offers a friendly atmosphere, delicious coffee, and an assortment of pastries and light bites. They also have vegan and gluten-free options. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, making it a great spot for both casual coffee drinkers and coffee enthusiasts. Overall, this is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great caffeine fix in Mount Pleasant. Especially one with a little bear in it to make your day!

Kind people, great coffee. Priced on par with corporate chains but the quality is much higher.

I owe Tidal Grounds the biggest thank you! I have been coming here since I was in high school. I give credit to this place for helping me get into college, pass the GRE, get accepted into grad school, and pass the Praxis. Janelle (the owner) is so kind and always gives me the best recommendations. The team goes above and beyond and it's one of my favorite spots in all of Mount Pleasant!

I'm a frequent coffee shop hopper and this is one of the best coffee shops I've been to in Mt. Pleasant!! The bagel bomb was delicious

It’s not the first time that pastries are not fresh but today their nastiness hit new record. When I received the pastry it tasted like rubber. I asked if it’s fresh, I was told “I don’t think so”. I asked if I may just get a refund. I was told to wait. After 15 minutes of waiting, I asked what was going on. I was told: “we are trying to get hold of a manager to see if we could give you a refund”. Guys, please learn some customer service! It’s not for the money! As a regular (well, used to be and no more after today), or for any customer, especially if you know it’s not fresh, apologize, offer the refund and say happy new year! You’ll get a life time customer instead of losing a few ones forever. Please someone train these kids the meaning of running a business. Seems like common sense doesn’t exist anymore… shame.

I used to absolutely love this place, but the coffee has honestly gotten horrible. The lattes just don’t taste good. The ambience is still nice to work in and I appreciate the wifi/outlets, but unfortunately Starbucks/Dunkin lattes are much better the last couple of years.

This plaza can be tricky with parking but don't let that detour your visit to Tidal Grounds! BEST darn coffe around. Such a cool local place that does everything way above par.

Omg, this place is a hidden gem. Seriously the best coffee in the low country (let alone Charleston). The service is great, the staff are kind, and the coffee is better than any I’ve had elsewhere. Give it a try asap!

This spot is definitely among my top five Charleston coffee shops. I moved from Mt. Pleasant to West Ashley and I miss this place so much! Their lattes and iced coffee are so good and use Springbok Coffee, which you can buy in bags from them (the best coffee in Charleston, in my opinion). I also really love the space for working and the fact that they're open until 7! 🙌 They don't have much in the way of food, but they do offer yummy pastries and quiches.
