Love this place I tell everyone I can about it. The mini cheesecakes, chocolate chip cookies, macaroons, Panna cotta, profiteroles, etc. All of it is delicious never too sweet. I recently tried the dark chocolate ganache tart and it was heavenly. Delicious coffee/espresso drinks as well, with a cute vintage French atmosphere.
Amazing Hot Chocolate and everyone is alway so nice. Great way to start the day!
Mayte Sweets is my fav cafe hangout! I was there yesterday and they had Dr. Paul playing Christmas music, a group of ladies that put all the wreaths on the graves at the national cemetary and I made 3 new friends. They have amazing pastries ranging from Tarts to Macarons to Cheesecake, along with every Coffee bevvie you could crave. All this in a delightful Euro setting with the nicest staff anywhere! Truly a delight for our community!

Oh my! So delicious!!! Wonderful pastries and fabulous latte. We took sweets to go and the server carefully packed them to travel well. I can’t wait to visit again and again.

The best pastries in New Bern, in my opinion! Mayte is a spectacular pastry chef! The ambiance the cafe’ is perfect.

Awesome atmosphere and very friendly staff. Great place to grab and go or just hang in the comfy seating area. Definitely authentic European style! The food we had was excellent and as good or better than most French or Italian bakeries I have been to. Definitely will return.
Oh boy! Cheesecake and a latte for Sunday breakfast! Actually, it doesn't have to be for breakfast, but why not?! Mayte's Sweets are a delicious treat any time of day. Great service, lovely ambiance, and phenomenal fresh made goodies.

First time in New Bern, found on Instagram this Café and wanted to stop by on my visit to the city, 100% recommend this spot.
A small local bakery in New Bern. I tried their iced coffee which was great. Their desserts like the tiramisu, charlotte, and the matcha tiramisu are all very delicious. Prices are a bit expensive but that’s expected from a local place. Service was great as well. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because of their cakes. I ordered two of their birthday cakes for me and my dads birthday. They were extremely disappointing. I asked for whipped cream and light sweetness and it was perfect. Both cakes were gorgeous on the outside but not so great on the inside. The first cake was so so dry. Both cakes were 48 dollars so me and my family were surprised. The second time, I asked for a sponge cake so maybe it wouldn’t be so dry. Instead, it was so so wet and mushy. Everything else was so good but for the price, I wouldn’t order cakes from here again. I ordered in February when it wasn’t that busy so I don’t think that was a cause for the issues.
