This is a great spot for fudge or ice cream in downtown New Bern. There is a comfortable and quaint seating area outside where you can relax and enjoy your treat. It was hot out and I wanted a waffle cone, but asked for a cup also, and they were happy to oblige my request.

Such a cute, little shop that's totally worth the stop, even if you only go in for the smells. You probably won't be able to resist buying something, though. Lots of really fun items and very tasty treats.
Their fudges are always delicious. The other varieties of candies are fun ...taking you back to your childhood!
Came all the way here from Greenville and not disappointed! Great fudge and candies, and the girls working there were great! We will be back

A New Bern staple. Best ice cream I have ever had in my life. Fantastic treats and friendly staff. I’ve been going here for years and I only have great things to say about Bear City Fudge Co. A must visit in New Bern!
Service is always friendly, and the candy store is comforting, if not sometimes a teensy expensive. Though still less expensive than most candy stores I've been to. Hot chocolate in the cold winter, and ice cold freshly squeezed lemonade in the summer.
Super nice staff, plenty of choices from fudge, ice cream, and other candies. They have space outside to sit and eat. I love this place!
Walking through downtown and saw the plaza where the store is located! Very nicely decorated and inviting - specially now during Xmas. Inside it’s a blast from the past! It feels they have conserved many of the original styles of selling candy. They have fudge, ice cream, chocolates and candy and drinks & probably more which I’ll check out next time. Service is very nice, all staff was very welcoming and friendly. We bought a few chocolates with different insides, they all looked so amazing. Give them a visit if you’re in the area, you’ll be in for a sweet treat! They are generous to let you try the fudge too! I tried the turtle and wanted to just bite into the entire thing

Cool place with all kinds of candies i remember from back in the days when I was a kid. Excellent ice cream and fudge as well. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!
I discovered this place when my husband and I planned our wedding in New Bern. They have the absolute best fudge in the universe. I could eat it every day. I will be getting a bunch of it for Christmas. Delightful candy shop! (I am not getting the VERY FEW negative reviews. I guess there’s always going to be “ that one” negative person, though.) This shop is a candy lovers dream, and I will be a life long customer.
I'm surprised by all the positive reviews. We've been here twice now on two different day trips and have been less than impressed. This place is extremely over priced ($4.99 for a kids 2 scoop and $2.99 for a kids 1 scoop). My in laws said the smoothies they ordered did not taste like real fruit and tasted off. We will not be returning here.

Second review. This is such a fun place. Sooo much chocolate in every desired form. The turtles delicious, truffles decadent, whatever covered pretzels everywhere. Hot out, grab some ice cream. Cold out, grab some ice cream. (See where I going with that). Staff is super friendly. Hint: try the chocolate cover s'mores.... thank me later.
💛Excellent service, gave me samples to be sure I wanted the fudge. Cute shop and I will be back to get me some Turtle Gophers! Got a Praline and it was very good. 🍭The brown sugar like coating reminds me of Brown Sugar Fudge, Penuche, from South America! Delicioso! Those French and Spaniards and Swiss and Germans. Lots of yum 😋 going on!🍬
