Service here is horrible. Employees are miserable. No smiles, barely look at you. It's a shame because their coffee was good and the salted caramel cookie was great and the facility is lovely. I've been there twice and won't be back. I want to be happy when I go to a coffee shop.

I was introduced to Bella’s by a friend about 2 years ago. I thought it was a cute place and the food was good. Since then I have met friends there for lunch and my sister and I would eat there when we were downtown. I think the atmosphere is cute, the food is good, however the customer service is lacking. The last few times I have gone there the person taking the orders has not been friendly. It has been different people so not one person in particular. On my last visit, my sister and I ordered. I received my meal right away but 20 minutes later my sister had not received her order. Come to find out her order did not make it from the register to the kitchen. She barely received an apology. As much as we enjoy going there it will probably be our last time for awhile.
Always love coming here, very nice service and great coffee and food.
Great spot for a quick bite or to linger with friends and enjoy the cozy space with a delicious coffee. The goat cheese egg bites are my favorite 🙂
Solid atmosphere and snacks, coffee and service was ok. Minimally staffed. I waited for almost 7 minutes (with no one else in line) for a drip coffee. Cashier and other staff were too engaged in conversation to make prompt service. I don't plan on going back.
Good place to seat down and grab a cup of coffee and some treats. The decor was updated for the best.

It’s a real shame because my family usually loves to come to Bella’s for a coffee, breakfast, or to do some work while in town. We came in for a quick lunch today at around 2:30pm - almost 30 minutes before closing. There were two other parties sitting in the cafe. We ordered 3 sandwiches and 3 smoothies. The woman at the cash register could not have been more rude and standoffish. Made us feel very awkward and unwelcome. Not sure we will come back anymore and she really should not be in a customer service role.

I had stopped for lunch at this little cafe and the food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend it to anyone
Update: finally able to come back with my laptop and work. Not crowded for a Wednesday. A good place to grab a bite and a coffee. Got the chicken salad sandwich which is a very nice portion. I see a lot of folks with their laptop here. I'll pack mine and come here to work for a change of scenery.
I was thoroughly impressed with my first visit to Bellas! I will definitely be back! The quiche was DELICIOUS!
Great food and drink options! Perfect location and atmosphere. Google’s posted hours (and the hours on their door) are incorrect. Some of the staff is kind, others don’t like to be bothered.
The downtown location in New Bern is convenient. Options are ok for a coffeeshop. Nice atmosphere but can get loud with large groups or when near capacity. Based on my visit today, not all of their items are baked/made fresh. Prices are on the high side, similar to Starbucks pricing in airports.
Great coffee. They know how to make a cappuccino here. Sandwiches are good too. I recommend the BLT.
I want to start of by saying the food is good. When my fiancé and I today to get breakfast we brung my service dog in. We were met by a very rude woman that immediately pressed us about our dog asking if it was a service animal. By law I don’t have to disclose any information regarding that. Wanted the owner to see this and implement change cause that’s really disrespectful and it was more so the way she asked than anything. If it was the owner that pressed us then you need rethink owning a business in New Bern.
The establishment looks wonderful as does everything in the case. However, the service was lacking. The person that took our sandwich order seemed disinterested. After 35 minutes of waiting for the order we asked at the counter. We were told it already came from the kitchen. It had not. We then requested a refund. That took another 10 minutes. Not one apology. Very disappointed as the café looked very nice.
Very homey feeling. The staff is amazing!
